welding on a holley

well, im going to be using a Microtech... so i need a TPS. I seen it done once before. but never asked how he did the TPS or where he got it fom. kicking myself now...

and im just going to weld up every hole on the side of the carb body. but before i go trying to weld it and having my tungsten melting back and possibly hurting my TIG torch. i want to know if the carb body is aluminum for sure... anyone know what the main body is made out of for sure, and what kind of coating does it have on it?
