Ok, I've been reading for the last couple of hours and it seems like these are the suspects:
1. floats stuck in the up position 2. Needle valves stuck shut 3. clogged filter screens/lines Please let me know if there are any other reasons why fuel would get to the carb but not make it into the bowls.
