Car is looking really good bud:D I think that rear bumper is probably one of a few which actually suit the car. Are you thinking of getting the rear arches to match the rear bumper which you can just see in one of the pics you posted?

Loving the fish eye lens shots, have just got a fish eye converter for our camera

Topgear 06-13-2013 01:28 PM

Thank you very much bud I do plan on somthing for the arches just not made my mind up yet

Need to start work in my bonnet and finish my base map then I will move onto more bodywork :)

Hi guys been a while now I've had a lot on and still mountins of work still to do, work is been crazy this summer along with that we had both of our severs attacked which took all my spare time to sort.

I've still got the shop online and secure but the main site had to be removed and restarted from the start so for now please only use www.topgearstockport.co.uk while I rebuild a better site on the old www.topgearstockport.com sever

Anyways

Onto what little work I've done to the Rex over the past month

Mapping is going well and I'm now at 12psi ready for the water meth at 13psi but..... Just not had time to get out the shop to get my meth so can't go any higher than 12psi

I'm also planning another nurburg trip at the start of October so I need to get my car fully ready for then.

My need to do list for the ring is

Tyres
New stronger brake lines and new rear braided lines
Brake bias valve to remove the stock one from my system
If time permits finish the last part of the flat floor
Will also have to do somthing with my screamer pipe

As a side note I ended putting a large 8" round silencer at the rear now my exhaust is 88db @ 3000 rpm :)

Onto what little I've done

If you remember concept 7 made me OEM style hood the quality was 100% and seemed a shame to cut the bugger up but hay it's what I do for the greater good

I like to work quick but due to work and the above this has taken me a lot of time to get to this stage just wish we had more days in the week

The planed cut lines

The start of cutting away the frame
http://i527.photobucket.com/albums/c...ps8e4e06b7.jpg

:) big hole in my hood :)

http://i527.photobucket.com/albums/c...ps7a102f80.jpg

Nice bit of flex
http://i527.photobucket.com/albums/c...ps42a60f83.jpg

Now I didn't get a photo but formed the most upper part of the curve to begin the curve I started from the drill holes and went upto 20 deep halfway down

http://i527.photobucket.com/albums/c...ps6a40f8d4.jpg

First test fit :) looking good

Ok little more work done :)

Ok made the side first from some scrap wood as templates and glasses upto them to make the side panels of the duct

http://i527.photobucket.com/albums/c...ps95845bcd.jpg

http://i527.photobucket.com/albums/c...ps00960026.jpg

Test fitment time

http://i527.photobucket.com/albums/c...ps5350bb15.jpg

http://i527.photobucket.com/albums/c...psf08cc2cf.jpg

With the moulds removed

http://i527.photobucket.com/albums/c...ps438072e4.jpg

http://i527.photobucket.com/albums/c...ps985748a6.jpg

Where the Borg turbo is sitting was directly behind the curve of the hood, and as I'm running pre tubro water I need to still keep my intake pipe

So out with the saw

http://i527.photobucket.com/albums/c...ps81879390.jpg

http://i527.photobucket.com/albums/c...ps53665e19.jpg

Then onto more glass work

http://i527.photobucket.com/albums/c...psbec19e42.jpg
