the engine might be toast. As it sits now it is still in manual drive with keys stuck in the ignition. I am going to look at a 2006 Rx8 GT black tomarrow.

Oh, have you gone gone to remove all your aftermarket parts yet? If not, I would say you are shit outta luck. There is a serious theft racket in Mid TN off cars sitting in a tow yard.

It is at Crest Caddiliac in the back. I havent taken anyparts off it but i dont know if i can. my insurance is taking forever on everything. and the Rx8 that i looked at today, the transmission was messed up and the dealer wont even let me test drive it because of the transmission. I cant find anything to buy here.. shit sucks!

Something you need to know:
-if the insurance company does not pay you for a specific aftermarket part, you have the right to remove it from the vehicle.

Also, there are RX-8's all over the place for sale around here! How much are you willing to spend? I know of one for sale in N Alabama that is meticulously maintained, and a smoking good deal.

The one with the 'transmission' issues, is it an auto or manual? If it is a manual, I can fix it in 5 minutes.

They wont sell that rx8 to me at all.. i even told them i will buy it as is and sign a paper saying that i know of the problem.. it is a manual.. Really? what rx8 do you know of? im looking to spend 10-15gs no more than 15

So i dunno who I've told and who i haven't but seeing the lilring guys signature made me remember. Smyrna now has a tint tester and they've been catchin people left and right. Its a fix it ticket you've got a few choices. Fix it, appeal it, or pay the fine (bout 200 bucks). Just figured id give yall a heads up

Heck, I went in my Saturn about 3 years ago. I had a blast even without my rx7. Was awesome getting to hang out with everyone and of course take on the dragon.

lilring, I saw your car. It looks pretty rough from the front. Can't even tell from the back though. It looks like the fenders are holding the doors from opening. Hope the insurance company quits jacking you around. I know our body shop could use the work.

thanks. the back of it had no damage done. but the frame was bent and you right about the fenders. im hoping to find out what junk yard it goes to so i can get some parts off it. What body shop shop is it? I have a set of mazdaspeed side skirts that im putting on my new 8 but they need some work done.

i want my rims.. i just need a set to put on there.. anyone have a cheap set of rims they want to sell? and i mean cheap. must be at least 16 inches thou... I wonder if they will notice if i take the tail light leds out

Do you know the lug pattern? If cadillac has a matching pattern, I am sure we have some take offs that the parts manager would sell pretty cheap.

Did the insurance company total the car? It doesn't really look like it would cost much to fix it. Granted, there may be more to the damage than the eye can see?

yeah the insurance company tolaled the car. crest said that there is like $8500 and insurance said more than 10 grand. The lug pattern is 5x114.3

I don't think we have anything in that pattern. I can check though. I will let you know if I come up with something. Heck, if this doesn't pan out, I would go to pullapart and get a set from them. Last I checked it was like 11 per wheel/tire.

I think all we have is 5x115. That's the only lug pattern the Cadillacs have been using for a while. Sorry man.
