haha once again thanks again! hopefully I'll be able to figure it out soon... because this is really getting ridiculous. I just keep telling myself is a stupid little problem that I'm gonna go insane about sooner or later.

alright so if you don't mind me asking. what could electrically go wrong? can the wire to the afm fail? is their supposed to be a ground on the ecu? anything have to do with the ecu?

The connections inside the afm can corrode, wear out ect.... or like you just said the plug can be messed up or the wires from the afm to the ecu can corrode, the main issue is that with the afm not right, either physically or electronically its sending a false reading to the ecu which is supposed to process how much air is coming in and adjust fuel accordingly. If the ecu is getting a false or no reading from the afm its either giving to much or to little, or no fuel at all.
