Dual fan setup from a Ford contour/mercury mystique. A touch wide (1/2") but otherwise the shourd covers perfectly.

I've always said its a wicked setup and has never let me down. I've also always said that the *best* setup in an Efan is a dual.......why? because you have two fans! One fails you won't be boiling on the side of the road. Also, you can generally cover more surface area of the core with two smalelr fans than with one large one...where am I going with this you ask?

I've ran that fan setup since 2006. Four years, and a total of over 50,000kms. The fan was (obviously) used when I bought it. About 3 weeks ago I noticed in a construction zone that my temp was a little high.....hmmm....I switched on my back up fan and cruised to work. After work doing a little testing found the primary, ecu temp conrtolled, e-fan had crapped out. I really don't know how long it *may* have been burnt out for because my fan generally doesn't come on while just puttering around - unless I'm stuckin a damn construction zone lol

$30 later and I'm running - and the duals saved me a lot of waiting and pissing around on the side of the road.

I agree there's only a few reasons to ditch the clutch fan, but plan any mod you do out well and you'll be ahead of the game.
