I hear you, but I'd like to stick to the original hardness range. Just in case.

Besides, if it isn't from Mazda, a few hard bolts cant cost too much.

Hmm, G8 Metric has never failed me yet! We BMX'ers love to replace all our bolts with G8 bolts, because they make the bike stronger and hold better before snapping.

Actually, "grade 8 metric" doesn't make any sense... :)

SAE Grade 8 = metric 10.9

bah... that's what being tired does to you. What I meant was a Grade 8 bolt with a metric thread pitch, I guess?

But then, what about those bolts which are metric, an have the number written, but it's a single digit? like the fender bolts. They have the number 8 stamped on their head... so it's not an SAE G8, right?
