They look ok to me. No worn areas or scratches. All the seals have come out of the rotors pretty easily too. I have not had time to get pics of the rotors yet, but they are in good shape. I have cleaned everything in our parts washer. It's more like a parts rinser. I think all that is in it is mineral spirits. I need one with a tank or one of those that looks like a friggin smoker.
Oh, and sorry again, Kevin. |
Blown coolant seals.
|
Blown coolant seals. Wouldn't hold water. Or so I was told.
|
That's a nice car you got there, plenty of potential. Do you plan on doing any other engine upgrades?

What if only the outer seals died? Thanks, e. I appreciate it. I have been getting crap about having the motor at work. People keep asking me, 'What is that thing?!' |
interesting, good info.
|
The previous owner told me as soon as he noticed a problem he shut it off and never restarted it. I'll get more info.

Welcome to RCC and Atlanta. As, 87turbo_turtle said, I am in Atlanta and there are a few of us who get together regularly in north Gwinnett County. Nice T2. I hope you get it all together soon, so you can enjoy driving it.

Hey Holly,
We met last Feb at a Mexican restaurant. I didn't have my 10AE on the road at the time. You still at Downing Atlanta? |

Got my porting templates from Pineapple Racing today - along with some good advice from Rob. He made sure that I got the right ones for my power expectations and usage.
Now for the porting. I haven't done this before. -crosses fingers- |
It's alive! I've had this car so long and have finally had time to get back to it.
It's starts and sort of idles - didn't have time to get that far. |
