Oh man, I can totally see how you can put someone in boiling water with this feature.

I can feel the horns growing out of my head already...lol

haha, it takes some getting used to but just remember that "Edit" is where "Quote" normally is. We seriously derailed this thread. Feel free to delete all these commentary posts afterwards too.

LOL, I like it, it shows character.

So an update.

Drag vmount for cars with 500+whp upto 785 rated is $2500.

Time Attack / Togue vmount for cars with 350 up to 500 max whp (for track use) is $2400.

Twin Turbo vmount is good for any twin turbo set-up including 99 twins and BNR stage 3 twin turbos. Good for cars up to 375whp in track use. $2200.

Basic ducting for all three kits is 100 extra for the drag and track kits. 150 extra for the twin turbo kit.

Carbon fiber ducting for all three kits is 250 extra for the drag and track kits. 300 extra for the twin turbo kit.

All the ratings are for constant whp in Track use. The vmounts will support more in drag style 1/4 mile racing.

The twin turbo vmount will support 500 to 600 whp
The time attack / togue vmount will support 600 to 700 whp
The drag vmount will support 785 to 1000 whp

Hey Ben,

I've already got the older small VMIC kit, but I want that FUSE BOX mounting tab things! How much for those things?

Im very curious to see these V-mount kits for the FC.... been talking to some funky bastard about them :suspect: and I must say, I'm impressed with the FD kit and want to see your take on the FC

TitaniumTT, nice car and congrats on the car of the month. I can only say I will make the kit so that it will be the last kit you will ever buy. I already know the fan shroud and factory fan set-up will be ditched with a replacement radiator fan combo. I will also use a temp sensor to set the fan on. Hopefully I can find an adjustable one.

I will use garret I/C cores because they are more dense and are more stable because they resist rapid temp changes. True they might have a slight bit more of a presure drop .5lb at most, but the stability at the track more then makes up for this.

I will do research on what radiator, but koyo makes a good one.

I will know more once I dive into it head first next year.

Oh you misunderstood me, I already built my own (more of an HMIC though) I was just complementing you on the FD kit and wanting to see how you tackled the FC. I cut out my support bar, the lower one where the factory oil cooler mounts and built a frame out of AL to mount the rad and the intercooler. Entirely too labor intensive to make it feasible for mass production mainly becuase the support directly replaced the support bar so measuring and building in place is rather critical.

here is a good shot of what I mean

TitaniumTT,

When I said "the last kit you" I meant the last kit "someone"...lol my bad.

Yeah, your kit is way custom, looks tuff. Looks good.

I have not staterd the FC yet, I have looked at it and have my set-up done on paper. But I will be doing the prototype on another memebers car because I do not own an FC, I don't even own an FD anymore :( I will have different IC cores for different power applications.

But what I do know is that I have the resources to get it done and to make it a complete bolt on kit. The fun part in the design, the completed project is so rewarding.
