and of course, if you happen to be partial throttle... because, i dont know, you're playing in the mountains, you hit the tranisition point of the turbos and you don't have enough exhaust flow so you go from 7-8 lbs on one turbo to 0 LBS! on both turbos..and the car falls on its face...

and let's not even talk about what happens when your in the middle of a curve and the 2nd turbo decides it's time to spool!!! previous owner's hubby got a little scared when i did that... twice...

I dunno what you're talking about... I never once had those problems playing in the mountains. If you're a good little boy I'll let you play too ;)

I don't know if i'm sophisticated enough to pull something like that off. Perhaps something i'll look into when i get to single turboing the car

Piece of cake man, when it's time, lemme know.... very easy to do

guess you were going too slow and are too low in your RPMs to have it be an issue =]

Will do. Hopefully the haltech will have enough input spots for all this...and don't even say go Motec a 5k ecu is not an option

TitaniumTT 02-15-2011 11:24 PM

Bald tires yes... speed limit? No ;)

Anyone help out with this?

Took my passenger door apart. Took the window out and the window motor to see if i could fix it. The window would always go down but only sometimes go back up so i cleaned all the nasty grease out of the old track. Got it all clean new grease and bolted it back up.

Now it goes down with the quickness but will not go back up. I had to wire 2 9v batteries together and jump the system to get the window up. I'm confused though both switches will make the window go down but neither one will get it to go back up. Gahhh i hate wiring. When i put a test light on it down got a light but up got no light wtf.

TitaniumTT 02-20-2011 11:03 PM

Contacts in the switches. Jump the wires from the battery through a fuse... 15A and verify that the biotch rolls up. Now you've eliminated the motor/track/anything mechanical. If the motor is good, it's the wiring/switches. Start with the switch, make sure it projects the voltage from the wires that it should, if it doesn't, crack it open and clean it up, adjust the contacts. If that's not it, it's the wiring, but I doubt it.

It rolls up i used 2 9v batteries and she was working fine. I hope it just the switch i hate wiring.

TitaniumTT 02-21-2011 11:28 AM

Sounds like the switch to me. Most switches are DPDT so the reversing of the polarities is done in the switch and the two same wires are run to the window from the switch so if it goes up, it'll go down. Even if they use relays or a control box, it's usually the same 2 wires...... Are there 2 or three wires dedicated to the PW coming out of the door?

Force13b 02-21-2011 12:07 PM

2 wires, 1 green 1 red.

TitaniumTT 02-21-2011 07:13 PM

So those reverse depending on the switch. If the wiring was bad, there would be no movement, I say switch

Yeah a friend of mine said the same thing. Good thing is it can be taken apart and fixed. From what i've heard it's kind of like a fucked up rube goldberg experiment.

I also picked up my suspension stuff bushing all pressed ready to go

Yep. Where you front upper arms a bitch to put back in? It's almost like the bushings are to wide to fit back in. I know the right bushing is in the arm i checked like 6 times to make sure.

speedjunkie 03-01-2011 04:11 PM

I honestly don't remember too well, I replaced them about 5 or 6 years ago. I don't think I had too much of a problem other than getting the diff bushings in. Those were a PITA.

Wait, are you talking about reinstalling the upper arms onto the car or putting the bushings in the arm?

I didn't have too many problems with installing the bushings. I used sockets and a vise. When I tried to use the press on the rear lower arms I bent one of the arms. So I bent it back and then had it x-ray'd for cracks haha.

+1 to the diff bushings. I did those a couple years ago i used Noltec rear diff bushings.

Reinstalling them the bushings are in as you can see from the pic ;). I'll have to take a pic of what i'm talking about. I was hopping everything would just slide back in place so far that is not the case. Everything seems to fit tighter then a glove.

speedjunkie 03-02-2011 02:34 AM

I don't remember having too much trouble getting the bushings into the suspension pieces, other than the Diff of course. The only problem with that was making sure the other side didn't pop out when you get one side in.

I like where this thread is going!

Force13b 03-14-2011 10:19 AM

Got my new brackets for my splitter the old ones set it to far forward. Also got a toe hook that is off by like 1/2 inch so i need to bend that and get it re-powder coated. I would like to give a big THANK YOU to Adam (afgmoto1978 on the other boards) for all the support with making, testing, and building this monstrosity.
http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b3...r/DSCN2857.jpg

All the suspension linage is back in except for my sway bar links. Apparently Improved Racing got a bad batch of spacers for their links. I didn't even get 10ft.lbs on them before this happened. After contacting them they are sending me new spacers at no charge and stood behind their product 100%. Can't say anything bad about that.

You pick the worst times to come out here. Rainy, cold and i have 0 free time.

TitaniumTT 03-23-2011 02:55 PM

Dude, it's cali, it's always rainy and cold here. I don't care what you say, i know about your conspiracy to keep tourism up. The weather here sucks, there's no other explanation. I've been here in Jan, Feb, , March, soon April, May, Jun, July, Aug, Sept and Dec, and it ALWAYS RAINS.... you're like Seatles elitist bitch younger brother.

 i just read that shit. There was so much nasty built up on the elbow you couldn't see the JB weld. I barlly touched the vac line and it snapped off.

I need to post pics up of his exhaust someone used red gasket sealer, you know the shit you get from autozone

speedjunkie 04-25-2011 02:36 PM

Wait, they used the gasket sealer instead of an exhaust gasket, or in addition to?

I fixed my inlet pipe nipple several years ago with JB Weld but mine held haha, never had any problems with it. It was the same nipple on the same pipe too haha.

There seems to be an exhaust gasket in there but also a butt load of gasket sealer oozing out of it. I'm planning on pulling it tonight i'll take lots of pics.

I cleaned the pipe off and did the "Is that JB weld *poke*" and the nipple fell off. I found another 1 for 20$

speedjunkie 04-25-2011 08:32 PM

Why would anyone even use gasket sealant on the exhaust anyway? LOL I mean, I guess if it's leaking...but then that would be time for a new gasket I believe? I'm just spitballing here haha.

Actually now that I think about it, we used a brass nipple and threaded it down into the plastic and then JB Welded to make sure it sealed, so I can't give JB all the credit haha.

And I think the technical term for that "poke" is "poke of disbelief" LOL.

I have no idea. When his car gets up to temp it smells like burnt popcorn coming out of the tail pipe.

That's a bit different but a good idea, would have been cheaper then 20$ for a new pipe.

Yeah it was nice not having to buy and wait for one to ship too.
