Good day guys
Some of you may know I've been traveling oz for the past month, and wow it's great out here hot hot hot While I was in sydney I stopped of at my good pals TurboSmart, they sorted me a real nice deal on some parts for the project. Also if any member is keen on products from them I'm a dealer so I should be able to do some good fdukin deals Anyway here the parts they sorted for me First up FPR1200 6an http://i527.photobucket.com/albums/c...t/18fc5952.jpg The new turbosmart Raceport bov http://i527.photobucket.com/albums/c...t/8538e780.jpg Hypergate 45 new style with quick change cap http://i527.photobucket.com/albums/c...t/872cf54a.jpg And them all togeather with some different rated springs for the gate :) http://i527.photobucket.com/albums/c...t/ae4a22ec.jpg |
Well today I've made a start on the conversion, it looks like I've got a few late nights ahead of me.
http://i527.photobucket.com/albums/c...t/22e4866b.jpg http://i527.photobucket.com/albums/c...t/5f8e5e15.jpg http://i527.photobucket.com/albums/c...t/10b0414b.jpg I've now sorced my bosch 044 and secondary injectors One question I do have is I have the Bosch 0280158827/NGI-2 1680cc high resistance injectors How do I fit these to the lim?? I'm guessing I remove the stock diffusers from the lim, now do I need to fit a rubber cushion or spacer as there isn't anything stopping the injectors dropping down the bigger denso seat. Cheers Craig |
Well what little time I've had tonight I've been thinking where I want my turbo to sit
http://i527.photobucket.com/albums/c...t/6457503b.jpg http://i527.photobucket.com/albums/c...t/1a52b6fd.jpg http://i527.photobucket.com/albums/c...t/da9b912b.jpg I'm thinking around this area and I might even try and get a v-mount on there in the next few weeks just have to see how the penny's are lol |
This is where the turbo is going to sit now, I spent a few hours tonight finalising the placement for the runners
http://i527.photobucket.com/albums/c...t/3a08fea5.jpg http://i527.photobucket.com/albums/c...t/f05bf25e.jpg TGS flange ;) http://i527.photobucket.com/albums/c...t/97e68eae.jpg Anyways that's me for tonight |
|
Nearly there now just got to sort the wastegate pipe and some more welds
http://i527.photobucket.com/albums/c...t/c63927ca.jpg http://i527.photobucket.com/albums/c...t/a734af84.jpg http://i527.photobucket.com/albums/c...t/da72e512.jpg Cheers Craig |
Thought I would mock up the 3.5" downpipe first before I figger where the wastegate is going to go.
I'm waiting on a 3.5" vband flange set which should be with me in the week so I can finish the downpipe when I have that http://i527.photobucket.com/albums/c...t/c98d8f8a.jpg http://i527.photobucket.com/albums/c...t/cb0e7b07.jpg http://i527.photobucket.com/albums/c...t/a4afc9f9.jpg http://i527.photobucket.com/albums/c...t/b5a9229b.jpg |
You guys :o
Tonight I've managed to get the first wastegate pipe welded in on the manifold http://i527.photobucket.com/albums/c...t/9346b151.jpg http://i527.photobucket.com/albums/c...t/92050986.jpg http://i527.photobucket.com/albums/c...t/49230518.jpg http://i527.photobucket.com/albums/c...t/63e76e6c.jpg On the second runner I'm going to come in from the otherside and bring them both togeather Last nights work :) Sorted both wastegate runners into a merge and the watsegate placement for feed back into the bottom of the downpipe. I couldn't find the vband to match the hotside so I rewelded a 3.5" one in place http://i527.photobucket.com/albums/c...t/71d48b6d.jpg http://i527.photobucket.com/albums/c...t/422c35e6.jpg http://i527.photobucket.com/albums/c...t/ecd64e50.jpg http://i527.photobucket.com/albums/c...t/f811f705.jpg |

BIG THANKS TO JAMES
For helping me till 1200 on Friday night getting my engine stripped to see what we had inside. It took sometime today cleaning the rotors up http://i527.photobucket.com/albums/c...t/3c918cd7.jpg http://i527.photobucket.com/albums/c...t/7c284204.jpg http://i527.photobucket.com/albums/c...t/5e679a7a.jpg http://i527.photobucket.com/albums/c...t/93ffae45.jpg We also found the engine was using 3mm seals I'm in the market for some 3mm conner seals, I'm guessing as I have a receipt from Hurley for the engine from the last owner that there his 3mm apex seals Has anyone used hurley conner seals with the 3 built in springs http://www.hurleyrotary.com/cornerseals.php |
