Sounds good. I'll aim for 10pm. I'll be coming from Alexandria at around 730-8pm which should put me in culpeper sometime between 930-10pm.

Lol... Hey John! I didn't realize that was you...

I guess I'm used to calling Richmond and it's close surrounding area, "Central" but that's not exactly accurate is it?

WE3RX7 08-18-2008 04:30 PM

Good to meet up w/ you Vex. We'll get a bigger group together next time you're up...

For sure, for sure. Hopefully by then I'll be faster... and have less tickets.

VR8 08-19-2008 07:57 PM

Bill! Last chance to sign up for the Dragon next month. Registration ends tomorrow. Come on, you, Jon and the MS take the dive.

WE3RX7 08-19-2008 09:51 PM

Its a good time financially, bad time work wise! Do I need to register if I just come down for the weekend?

VR8 08-20-2008 07:48 AM

Since it is an "open to the public" place you surely can come and ride around for the weekend. The things you'll miss out on are all of the festivities going on ... game events, dinners, raffle prizes, t-shirts, discounts.... It'll be a lot like DGRR (only RX8's).

nuke0907 04-27-2009 08:13 PM

Well, they're going on craigslist! Thanks guys!

Kane 08-23-2009 08:44 AM

Doesn't seem to be too many 1st gen guys here; mostly FC's eh?

JL1RX7 08-23-2009 08:56 AM

You would be suprised. I think it is about even on the generations. I have been on cruise for a bit so I havent been to many of the local meets but there are quite a few 1st gens out there. Saturdays at Jenros is always a good place to meet some. Or if they still allow it bass pro on your side of the river.

Glad to see my new home does get some rotary love.

JL1RX7 08-23-2009 01:45 PM

If you go to meetup.com and look for the hampton roads rotary car club. We meet about the third week of the month. But there you see when and where the next meet is. Also one of the walmarts and/or home depot in hampton have some guys come out and meet on saturdays. Its more other cars, but generaly a good group of car guys. I would have been out and about but the rain yesterday kept me from going.

Kane 08-23-2009 02:03 PM

Cool thanks for the heads up - I won't be out there until Late fall; but I am looking forward to it.

I'm coming down there next weekend! Do you know Jerry aka rotaryhaven? I'll be hanging out with him.

JL1RX7 08-23-2009 02:16 PM

Yea we have met at more than a few of the meets. Very nice guy. Its been a while since I have seen most of the guys. Think it was him that just got rx2 finished the last time I was able to hang out with everyone. I have two 7s. A black vert and blue coupe. My blue one still lives in tennessee. I drive the black around as much as I can.

michaelsk8er 09-21-2009 02:34 PM

Will be back on the 10th (Tomorrow) and off for the rest of the year and looking for a meet!

VR8 10-10-2009 09:10 AM

angelofragnarok 12-21-2009 01:54 PM

Sorry I'm late to the party, but I'm in Norfolk, VA! :)

Kane 12-21-2009 08:09 PM

Just picked up my car today from the shipper!

Rearmount 8 01-22-2010 07:13 PM

Virginia Beach here

Kane 01-23-2010 08:47 AM

We need to do a meet before I deploy....

Rearmount 8 01-23-2010 06:23 PM

When do you deploy?

VR8 01-24-2010 07:44 AM

How about a BIG meet, with ALL Mazdas, around Richmond? Say, February 20th?

Kane 01-24-2010 01:37 PM

I deploy in March.

So Feb would be good.

BTW - Locals I need to know the name of a good shop who can roll some fenders and replace a wheel and tire on my MS6... anyone?

RXtacy 01-25-2010 09:32 PM

Just moved back to NOVA. 93 VR FD in Oakton. Also I work at NASA Goddard and saw another VR FD there with Volk rims and RB dual tip exhaust anyone know who that is?

VR8 01-26-2010 10:07 PM

We have our meet scheduled for the 20th of February. Just need a location in Richmond verified and we can start to promote a gathering. Be glad to have you drive down RXtacy, although it will be a little haul for you, not too bad. Kane will have to cruise a couple of hours too, as will I. Could be HUGE though if Tidewater, NOVA, Richmond and Central/Western VA all come out!!

Kane 01-27-2010 08:19 AM

Keep me in the loop, that is only like an hour+ for me.... not too bad.

fred114 01-27-2010 11:29 AM

Roanoke here. Plan on being in Richmond on the 20th for the meet!! :driving:
