Thats a really nice time Zinx! Makes me jealous!!!! Well mine is down for the count. Hope to be back up in a month...

Again thats really moving on. I bet that 60 footer felt great. You were smiling ear to ear!

P71 05-23-2008 05:07 PM

Damn zinx! That is smoking fast!!! I updated the list ;) Keep em coming, that's just awesome!

Phoenix7 05-23-2008 06:00 PM

great job. You have to get a video of your passes also!

Nutsid 05-24-2008 02:51 AM

If he lets me know when he comes down to Muncie, and if I can get the day off of work, I'll get a short clip of video of him running there. That is a lot of ifs though.

Great pass David, but we're only accepting slips from Feb 08 and newer (the start of RCC), so go out and run it again! You might be like zinx and set a new personal best while you're at it ;)

Thanks for the "at a boy".
I chipped four out of six apex seals after that day and still put 275 RWHP down. I have the Dyno sheet to show it.
I just broke in a Kevin Landers rebuild and ported motor. Smoked a dual friction clutch on the second 5k launch.:(
Center Force is gonna make good on the warranty and let me pay the difference
between the Dual Friction and the DFX. After all I gave them my mods and they recommended the dual friction. I just spent the holiday reinstalling last years clutch......which is like an on / off switch. I hate it but at least I can drive my 7. I store the car in winter.

P71 05-27-2008 10:58 PM

Might want to look into RAM or McLeod. Centerforce's aren't doing so hot in the last 2 years...

When's your track opening?

AndreS 07-13-2008 02:41 AM

Finally made it out to the track last night! Pacific Raceways had a test & tune and some club event going on, I was able to make seven passes.

car: 1988 Mazda RX7 SE
Engine: 1999 Chevrolet LS1 5.7L (stock)
transmission: 4L60E (stage 2 Performabuilt), 3500 stall
Tires: Mickey Thompson ET drag 28x9-15, MT ET fronts 25x4.5-15

will post up a pic of the timeslip if you'd like later...

the best run, 12.113 @ 112.44, had my worst reaction time... best R/t was .170. I need to work on that.

r/t: .968
60': 1.669
330': 4.961
1/8: 7.725
mph: 88.6
1000': 10.109
1/4: 12.113
mph: 112.44

josh18_2k 07-13-2008 11:23 AM

you 4l60e guys are a bunch of cheaters! lol

P71 07-13-2008 11:34 AM

Holy hell that's AWESOME! Post the slip too for posterity and I'll get you all set in on the list ;)

Hey Josh, you need to come drag racing with me next weekend. I bet I can get your car faster... ;) :D

josh18_2k 07-13-2008 02:42 PM

dude if you wanna run my car go for it. i know im no good at drag..
however- next weekend is the packwood autox!! both sat and sun. why arent you going? :-(

P71 07-13-2008 10:47 PM

Not driving 3 hours there for 4 runs each day. I *might* do the ProSolo for the different format. Otherwise I'll keep showing up to the PIR/ORPCA events.

Rotorypolo 07-21-2008 02:51 PM

12.8 @ 111 mph. crappy 2.3 60 ft. 13 lbs on a hot day, stock seq. twins, street tires..

P71 07-21-2008 06:34 PM

Timeslips?

AndreS 07-26-2008 02:32 AM

I tried taking a pic of it but it doesn't show up, the #'s are all blurry.... F'n cheap camera.

P71 07-27-2008 04:21 PM

Use the "Macro" mode (should be like a little flower icon) for close ups. Get the clearest shot you can and type out all of the incremental times (60', 1/8, 1/4) and I'll add you on.

P71 08-09-2008 11:25 AM

Updated with AndreS time.

Where are the rest of you dang it?!!?

busted7 08-09-2008 10:36 PM

I have some events coming up and will try to get some vids and slips. Hope it stays in one piece.
Trying to beat 10.8 so if i do you will know ahead of time.If i dont youll not hear from me!

sk8world 08-12-2008 09:03 AM

Busted, so you ever run the 2nd gen with super charger?

Are you running the 3rd gen at the event on pump or race? Why chance it, C16 is your friend...

busted7 08-12-2008 11:00 PM

I never raced the secound gen but i did drive it, the blower bearings went out and i parked it in the tralior 5 years ago. One day ill get the money and go turbo but its a long story.
Im tuned for 93 oct and if conditions are good ill race the 31st of aug if its too hot im in the car show in Kc, then sept in Tulsa im gonna run i love that track.
I want to see if i can beat 10.8 0n 93oct its one of those things i want to do.
It might be a mistake but i am full weight a/c power steering leather seats and the cruise even works so its a personal challenge. :driving::dunno:

Rogue_Wulff 08-20-2008 11:13 AM

Busted7, I am guessing you already know that 93 oct isn't sold around the Tulsa area, so be sure to bring enough with you. 91 oct is the best you can get around the Tulsa area, short of buying race gas.

busted7 08-20-2008 05:36 PM

Thanks for the heads up but i will tralior the car with gas in it. You never know when the stock axles will go im pushing them in the 1.52 range so its just time for them to break!:leaving:

sk8world 08-21-2008 12:56 AM

what event is this?

busted7 08-22-2008 08:40 AM

I think there calling it import face off!
IFO sept 21 Tulsa Okla.

Im going to KC the 31st Aug same event but i dont know if i will run!
Im playing with some stuff and who knows.

P71 09-28-2008 10:59 AM

Updated!!!

Whizbang 09-28-2008 11:02 AM

if you can, you should have people add "altitude"

P71 09-28-2008 11:24 AM

Altitude is worthless.

Density altitude would be nice!

But most tracks don't give out that information on TNT nights.

We were at sea level and 64* out, sow low DA, which is good.

(PS - There were 13 83 Vettes and one is still in the Corvette museum. You may not be faster then it...)

sk8world 09-28-2008 06:41 PM

Busted, what happened in Tulsa??

josh18_2k 09-28-2008 09:49 PM

tires are 255 A032R's ;)

But im good to go now for a while:driving:
I might try the local track friday night!
Ill let you know!:icon_tup:

P71 09-29-2008 10:05 PM

Damn Busted!! Take care of yourself man, you still have to try and take #1 from zinx!

sk8world 09-30-2008 10:11 PM

busted, hope all is well health wise! Take it easy.....

Whats the latest on Zinx? Have not heard of him posting much on racing?

Phoenix7 09-30-2008 10:23 PM

yeah man, take it easy for a while. Hope you get better soon.

jerd_hambone 10-11-2008 01:49 AM

I should have my time up in a few days, having a track meet on Sunday and I'm going to make a few passes

sk8world 10-11-2008 01:58 AM

Have fun, glad someone is able to make some passes! I am dying to get back on the track!

jerd_hambone 10-12-2008 12:08 AM

I'm hoping to be able to run a mid to high 15, think I'm aiming too high?

busted7 10-12-2008 03:59 AM

Thanks for the kind words guys, im doing fine and needed to get out so i went to midnite drags!
I will post slips later but: #1 1.92 60ft 11.22et 126.51mph
#2 1.64 60ft 10.96et 127.94mph
#3 1.72 60ft 10.99et 128.94mph
#4 1.60 60ft 10.95et 129.46mph

Not my best but pretty consistant.
I was also worried about breaking becouse my tralior is in memphis at the lxs event with a 10.3 sec blk vett setting on it!

The mph is up to almost 130mph but im going to have to let it all hang out to get the new gears to 60ft better!

And if zinx stays # 1 thats ok but im trying in a good way!
Sk8world come on and get that car going.:icon_tup:

Thanks again for the kind words it helps alot!:)

P71 10-12-2008 08:05 PM

Hey we trust you, it's just nice to see the slips ;) Stay safe out there man!

busted7 10-12-2008 08:28 PM

Makes you feel younger!

Turns out i had the fastest time there last night, that doesant happen very often!
I want to see some of your time slips before the snow tire nationals!:icon_tup:
