Just sad how 'little' $8500 gets you with an FD :sigh:

Tell me about it...

This just seems like a decent deal considering that other than the sequentials control part of the turbos is not working properly it runs and drives well(according to the post). So if I waited for a nicer one id essentially be paying twice as much for the car with nice paint and probably 100k+ miles on the engine

Your going to put twice as much into it after paint, body and getting it to run right. Same cost overall

djmtsu 03-17-2016 02:34 PM

But Kyle can do all his own body work, so there's that.

I wouldn't hesitate too long. If the bones are good, and interior is good then it will sell QUICK. Remember, most guys don't leave the body stock, so they don't care about faded paint and shit.

PS- the wheels look :gay:

Not a bad price for the market, but it all depends on your end goal. FD part prices are so high that taking a rougher car and making it pretty isnt that great of a plan. I have accepted that my FD won't be pretty

Making it pretty isn't my concern so soon. My main concern is that it runs and is mechanically sound. I've attached the email Bryan sent back to me. Yes it's Rotorsports. I'm really hoping I can convince my wife. I feel way better about it know that it's a reputable shop selling it.

DJ I agree the wheels look like butthole. But I can find some stockers I'm sure. I see them on CL all the time.

I'm not sure. I emailed asking what shop they were and just a little about the history of the car. Isn't it a relatively easy job to convert the turbos to non sequential? I'm really not too concerned with the paint and body at this point. I'm pretty sure I can find headlight covers and a fender for cheap. The only bad thing with the body I see is the big dent in the drivers rear quarter.

Driver's fender also looks wrinkled.

In this FD's defense, JK's FD was pretty gnarly when he got it, now it's pretty slick.

Still and FD, but I guess acceptable.

Naw not crazy. it's not a bd deal. has all of the interior which is a plus.

I am in the process on non-sequentialing my FD. Followed Landers write up which is pretty straight forward.

I agree. that's what I used

Lolz. I'm just lucky to have friends, family and father in law that will help me with the car.

project86 03-17-2016 07:12 PM

Well someone has apparently already said they were putting a deposit down. Bryan said he'd let me know but I don't have much hope.
