coils etc are under warranty.
most of the expense is from the plugs (50~60 each) and the $200 service fee... I'll have it back this afternoon. I'm going to start saving for an RE block and rebuild. I don't think I'll be keeping the reni forever. I may trade it in if the new RX7 comes out... ever... |
Alright. The wife says she wants to keep the FC. So I guess I have to hang with you retards again ;)
Any of you remember Josh? He was at the first Gar-B-Q in a red S4 TII. We actually gave him a fender from that red S4 that was parted out. Anyway, he will be back from Afghanistan in November, and just picked up a clean 10AE. He wants to meet up sometime around then. We haven't had a really GOOD meet in a while, so maybe we should start getting our shit together again! Thoughts? |
Fri. afternoons, anywhere. Having the meets on Thur. nights was inconvenient since I work nights, I would always have to rush things. Thats just my two pennies, whatever is better for the majority.

Crap, this means I have to get the 7 to the Boro...

A friend of mine (Jess) in Manchester forwarded me the e-mail below and called me today to let me know how my RE5 was going. He also says once the new warehouse is open he would like to host some type of rotary get together. I'll keep you guys updated on this, it'll be a few more months. Let me know what you all think.
Friends, As most of you know, I have had a love of rotary engine (wankel) motorcycles for many years. Over the last ten years, I have restored and repaired them for folks around the world. My friend, Sam Costanzo, the world’s leading expert has decided to retire, and released this statement today. I will continue to work at my day job and for the last several months have been working 12 hours a day, 7 days a week in preparation for this announcement. I hope to be moved in and open for operation by September 1, 2009 at my 22,000 square foot facility in Tullahoma TN. I may be difficult to reach for a while, so I ask for your patience and understanding. Best regards, Jess Stockwell From Sam Costanzo To The Rotary Community: There comes a time in everyone's life when major decisions must be made. I have reached that point in life and have made just such a decision. I am now reaching close to 70 years of age and have over 45 years involvement in the Rotary field and also as an attached factory liaison to the Suzuki RE5 and Sachs W2000 Rotary. At this time, I have decided to retire and am proud to pass the "Rotary Torch" on to my good, long-time friend Jess Stockwell, a name well known and well respected within the Rotary Community. Jess is a very knowledgeable collector and enthusiast of the RE5, he has been a contributor to RE5 questions and problems throughout the years and is well versed on these bikes. Jess has acquired all of my NOS RE5 and W2000 Rotary inventory plus all quality refurbished parts, along with my indoor salvage inventory of over 150 RE5 and W2000 motorcycles and 4-1/2 tons of parts, plus the internationally-known " Rotary Recycle USA" trade name. Jess and his staff will continue where I leave off in serving the Rotary Community with parts, service, and technical information from the new Rotary Recycle facility located at 1000 Davidson Street , Tullahoma , Tennessee 37388 . My staff and I will continue to give Jess all the support necessary to make this massive transition of parts and bikes as smooth as possible. Please be patient. Jess will post his new Rotary Recycle contact information when he's set up and ready to serve the Rotary Community. In parting, I enjoyed sharing many of my behind-the-scenes Rotary history and information with the Community throughout the years. I have immensely enjoyed the friendships I have made over the course of my journey. Enthusiasts such as Wayne, Kim, Terry, David, Roland, and many, many others have become near and dear to me. Look forward to the new opening of Jess Stockwell's Rotary Recycle USA! Thank you to everyone. "The Rotary torch is now passed!" Best regards, Sam Costanzo |

Naaa, I've been talking to Brian Cain in Texas... When I'm ready to rebuild the reni, he's going to bridge port it. We talked for a while on reliability etc and he's come to the conclusion that it should be very reliable due to the fact that even with the added overlap of the BP setup, it's still not even close to the overlap of the old stock 13b's. BRAP BRAP BRAP... here I come... XD DJ, Yea, we need to start seriously trying to plan actual events. I'll poke chad again about getting the website access. I'm more than happy to keep it updated and make it more useful for us. If I have to, I'll make us a new domain. I can even integrate automated texts to your phone for event reminders etc. There's not a lot I can't do with a website. My GF offered to be a sort of secretary for the club, but it's pointless if we're not really committed to anything. Zach, I'm cool with Fridays. Any day works for me as long as I know in advance. |
Brian I got first dibbs on it if your tired of it.

Hey guys names Josh like DJ said i came to the first Gar-b-q with my t2 but the army had me bouncing all over the place and i ended up selling the car before this deployment due to motor issues and storage problems but found a nice 10th AE recently and will be home late Nov early Dec and deffinatly want to start coming to some meets again. Trying to also decide how stock to keep this 10th AE as some stuff is already changed, exhaust, seats, intake, wheels, prior to me picking it up. Any suggestions i realize not many were made but id still like to do some stuff with her. Look foward to being back in the states working on a never ending project lol.

Dont go to Atlanta Zoo

Well thought we would have a nice day at the Atlanta zoo with the kids but some stupid ass thought he could break into my truck with a screw driver.
Man, where did all the good thieves go? Why are these kids not learning the correct methods? Now I have a damaged truck and he still did not get shit! Man am I so glad I did not catch him in the act. So the $900 car I sold and took to atlanta is now going to fix my truck. That sucks. So I wonder who is the best shop in middle tn for body work? Man, I don't want bondo in my truck, and hope when they paint the whole door it matches the rest of the truck |
Damn Chad, sorry but I guarantee they will have to use some Bondo to smooth it. Body shops do not spend the time to straighten metal like they used to. Its easier to get it as good as possible, then use putty to smooth it out.
Did this happen at your house or in ATL? Call your insurance company, no need to drop the $900 on the truck. |

I will call the insurance company tomorrow but if I remember right I bumped my deductible up to $500 or $1000 so I could keep all 4 cars insured and have a cost savings. So if the bill is under 1K it would be easier for me to just pay. I think it will cost more than that though. It happened at the Atlanta Zoo |
