I wanna try out which one that works. If it't worth the effort to get a insert or not. There is a lot of time in using it.

Today I've been working on the fixture to the new housings. It also fit stock housings and iron as well.
First up with dowels to match the machine, and countersinked bolts to be out of the way. http://i815.photobucket.com/albums/z...112_171033.jpg Testing with a stock housing to make sure I did it right. http://i815.photobucket.com/albums/z...112_173427.jpg And one of the new ones, let the game begin! http://i815.photobucket.com/albums/z...112_184511.jpg Some motivation :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LaC19p4Avp4 |
Some roughing done!
Looks like it suits! Dowels mounted. http://i815.photobucket.com/albums/z...113_134049.jpg http://i815.photobucket.com/albums/z...113_134040.jpg |

Today I've used the cnc-lathe again. Fun to learn, but very time consuming.
These are for the 4-link, and fit the RERS-4 rubber protection. I made these in stainless. http://i815.photobucket.com/albums/z...psa9307795.jpg http://i815.photobucket.com/albums/z...psf5068cf1.jpg Then I also turned a new mount for the rear coilovers. Really fun to turn threads in a cnc. They always look so good. M12x1.75 at one end, Ø12.75mm for the coilover, and then M20x1.5 in the other end. http://i815.photobucket.com/albums/z...ps069352b6.jpg http://i815.photobucket.com/albums/z...ps6d6495d9.jpg http://i815.photobucket.com/albums/z...ps85adecc1.jpg http://i815.photobucket.com/albums/z...psc83c9de4.jpg Ofcource I was at the garage to try them out! http://i815.photobucket.com/albums/z...ps2be59842.jpg http://i815.photobucket.com/albums/z...ps5c933621.jpg |
For you all, this isn't much, but for me, its epic...
After years in a fixture, now he is on his own wheels! Low... (My photobucket account will get going soon, they havn't seen my payment yet.) Last photo in the fixture. http://i815.photobucket.com/albums/z...psa0db6d99.jpg And now on it's own... http://i815.photobucket.com/albums/z...ps9912fd67.jpg http://i815.photobucket.com/albums/z...psd88ef164.jpg http://i815.photobucket.com/albums/z...ps5b707ca2.jpg http://i815.photobucket.com/albums/z...ps8f211083.jpg http://i815.photobucket.com/albums/z...ps16839609.jpg Simple Watt-link ;) http://i815.photobucket.com/albums/z...psc05640e1.jpg |
Ugh, what a tease. I want to see the pictures. Photobucket needs to get off their asses.

The pics are working!
CTRL + F5 will help you :) Have also bought me a set of rims that will come in handy in the future. BBS 19x9.25" Centerlocked Magnesium. http://i815.photobucket.com/albums/z...ps39da714e.jpg |
What a stance that thing is going to have! I know this goes without saying, but you really are a rare breed of car enthusiast that can take on the building of an entire car, from scratch and not give up. I don't think I have seen another project that compares to what you're doing that isn't inside a professional garage with a team of guys building it. Keep up the good work man and I know we all look forward to seeing the final product.

Thank you WE3RX7, that means alot. I'm just a novice in the car-building process. Some thing aren't as good as it could have been. But I really try to do all by my self. I really hope that I someday will take this car around the block and feel relieved :)
