It all really depends on the app and what you're looking for. You wanted alot of power on pump, which means bigger turbo and spool will suffer comparatively.
I would like to see all three turbos run @ 25psi to see the spool and the ultimate power potential. Mapped against EMAP would also be interesting to see but I know that's not going to happen |
True. In all reality I don't imagine I'll want much more than 350whp for normal driving. However, I also don't want to be limited to a total potential of 400-450whp, which I'm worried the 8374 may have realistically done.
Further on down the line I'd love to do a side-by-side comparison of the 7670, 8374, 9174, and whatever GTX35## is bouncing around at the time. But that's not likely to happen unless I've either got money burning a big ass hole in my pocket (which the wife wouldn't allow), or they were temporarily donated by other owners. I'm hoping that, despite the larger size, the lag/response won't be *that* much worse than what I was experiencing with the Precision Turbo... If I can get near the horizontal line of a torque curve, and have boost pretty much leveled out, by mid-3krpms than I'll call that a win. :) |
Sooooooooooooooo my turbo

Andy is VERY happy with the 8374, but so far I'm kinda missing the 7670. And another friend here was telling me we should do a compound setup with two 7670s lol. Might have to try that. As for your comparison test, I still have my old 7670 but it may need to be rebuilt. I'm pretty sure the oil seals are bad and I accidentally bent one of the compressor blades when my glove grabbed it when my hand was nearby. Anyway, I'm not sure if they can be rebuilt but I'd be willing to lend it to you for testing. |
Yup, same Andy! :)
I def appreciate the thought/offer, for now I just want to focus on getting her back on the road though ^_^ |
