I didn't not realize this and I myself am interested going to Mitty.

Since DGRR date was just set, I'm trying to get in touch with NVNC to see if we could move a week ahead. If so, DGRR will continue a week ahead or announced date. If not, I might cancel this years DGRR.

Phil, the weekend before the announced weekend is Easter. If DGRR is moved to Easter, I won't be there.

Screw Mitty, if you have DGRR during Easter Barry won't come even though there's no better way to celebrate the resurrection - Jesus would approve!

+1, Easter weekend is a non-starter for me, will have family in town. If DGRR '11 has to move to not conflict with Mitty, a week later might be better.

I think you either have to have it 2 weeks or more earlier or 1 week after or not change it.

What's a "Mitty" anyway? The only Mitty I ever heard of is Walter Mitty in a James Thurber story.

OK... I didn't realize April 21st through 24th, 2011 is the Easter weekend... So, no go for those dates..

At this point, I'm planning to stick with original set date.

I can't do it the following weekend...

Well, At this point, I'm just going to say forget Mitty... I'm going to stick to the original date. What we could do is we could try to goto Mitty for one day on Sunday as a big rotary group from DGRR XI??

Actually, the more I think about it, the more I like the thought of a Rotary show of force at the Mitty on Sunday. I'll already be in for a 26+ hour drive down anyway, so what's adding another few?

Interesting idea... Haven't looked at a map yet, but how long of a drive is it from DGRR XI to the Mitty? It will make my return trip to MD a bit longer, but what's a few more hours!

Nantahala Village to Road ATL is 112 Miles... or as google says 2 hours and 11 mins.

Pending weather, I'm planning to do this :)

I'd be passing by Road ATL coming back from DGRR anyway so that sounds good to me
