are you refering to the diff or the tranny in my post?
I was only told this. Never seen the Rx8 diff in person, so that's why i asked...??? |
Both ;) The carrier itself I BELIEVE is interchangeable but the pinions etc are not.

i have an 87' NA with a welded rear end. do you have any info on what happens to the mounts that make it bang around? thanks
|
welded diff is a no no...
But anyways, There are two diff mounts that bolt the rear of the diff to the body. Then there is a mount up front that bolts the nose of the diff to the sub-frame. This is most likely your problem. Search my name on here in the 2nd gen section and you'll see what I did to solve this problem. |
thanks for the quick response. thats the only mount that i didnt buy from racing beat the other day. the other tech at my work said to check the u joints. could this also be a problem?
edit: could you also post a link to the post u were talking about i cannt find it |
4.78!!!!!! Thank you for the info. I currently drive an '83 race car and auto-x/rally-x a bone-stock '87 TII. lots of useful info.
