I was thinking about it, but that would cost a ton of coin. I keep looking for car trailers, and if I can find one for about a grand I'd pick it up and put a tire rack on it, but they always seem to go for more than that. I really don't like abusing my truck like that. She's still got a stock clutch and stock brakes. The stock clutch has about 163k on it so I don't want to really press my luck. The whole trailer and car would weigh in excess of 5k lbs, where a little auto-x trailer would weigh....maybe 500lbs?

IMO a hitch wouldn't be bad if you could hide it for daily use. A custom bumper cover or plug? or make easy to remove?

Fab work takes time, more than you think. There's estimnated time, then there's the time it should take, then there's the time it did take, and then there's what I call Brian time. I can see that taking a full 2 days, the bumper probably came on and off a "bazzillion" times :rofl:

It'll be very easy to remove. Going to mount to where the stock rear tow hooks do so it'll come off with an impack in a bout 14 seconds

If that actually took that guy 25hrs to make, he has no hand skills.

Well RX-8 owners aren't the most handy unless they were previous RX-7 owners :suspect:

I think it's cool that the hitch comes through the ole rotor logo. It takes time, I still think that 25 hrs is a little excessive but shit always takes 2x as long as you think it will....

Nope.... not yet anyways.... Been working my ass off. Grabbed a handful of new boats, and chipping away at a laundry list of repairs and other shit at work.... but not at work... but pays oh so well.... so yeah... haven't been around much. Today was supposed to be a day off. i was there for 4 hours around noon, left to go to a vet appt, went BACK to work around 6:30 to replace the power trim unit on a boat I want in the water so I can bill the dude for the $1550 he owes me. Yeah, I've seen that before, hommie earned that license plate of his. My trailer will be VERY similar, expect steel, and a regular sprung axle. 40lb tongue weight is too light. If he's worried about ease of moving it around.... learn how to back up a trailer or get a dolly :rofl: As I think the whole trailer will be a little light and want to bounce/wander at higher speeds, more tongue weight will go a way to control it. UGH..... Limerock on thursday and I haven't even started building my trailer... time FAIL

I think you should use a rear clip for an FC as a trailer. find an old convertable that has been wrecked build a tongue/rack for your race tires the trunk can be the toolbox and use the original fuel tank with a transfer pump and wiring for extra travel capacity
