Best part: Attending DGRR in my new car!
Worst: Service @ Pizza Hut in Bryson City and my Sweetwater IPA freezing in the refrigerator. Lmao!

Good: driving the Tail of the Dragon, and meeting people.
Bad:
(1) driving the one lane trail up 800 feet higher than the main road to our cabin in the sky in the dark.
(2) while refueling in northern Alabama, a drunk lady in a one piece dress, barefoot with orange toenails, tried to solicit Kyle and I.

So you guys were why the managers came out and made double sure that our servers had given us good service?

I guess we owe you a thanks for bitchin' them out 'cause they were fairly on point for us... for a Pizza Hut anyway. Then again we were about the only people in there.

Great... Meeting all the screen names and getting to spend time. Seeing some people I hadn't seen in 10 years.

Good... Driving with a bunch of great guys.

Bad... Motor breaking right at the start of the Dragon.

Worst... No coffee in the morning.

There was a wonderful coffee shop in Bryson city and they sold the coffee at the general store across from the end.

best thing was that i made it, met some cool people, got to ride shotgun in some cool rides including defined's 3rotor fd and a couple from the darkside. Went to my first official race t
rack and got to set foot on it.

worst is that my trani fluid was overheated on the way there and i thought it was gonna die on those mountain roads, i had to go in a mustang since i been being rotorless, and last but not least i didn't get to go anywhere near the dragon:(

Thanx to those that gave the new guy a ride in some nice rotary and v8 powered machines

Glad your first experience in all those things was a good one.

Hello everyone, this was my first year but won't be the last attending this awesome event. While I don't drive a rotary car I'm still in the Mazda family and have always been a fan of Mazda and their rotary cars.

Best part was how the group welcomed me even though I was not driving a rotary car and entrusted me to lead the Friday morning big loop drive.

Worst part was having to take my car up a "Jeep trail" to get to my cabin.

Sir, I tell you what, rotary or not, you were SERIOUSLY quick in that thing. I was part of the leading group (white rx8, no spoiler, no-pistons stickers in the back window) and you were just simply GONE most of the time. I have said countless bad things about turbo'ed FWD cars in my time, and I take them all back (ok, maybe not ALL of them, lol). It was cool you sharing the story about having a motor blow in a car in front of you then showing me the marks the chunks of motor left on your car.
Look forward to seeing you next year!
