Greg looks like you are going to have to lead the kids through

We need more details....Like Did she have her driving shoes on? We know how important those are.

Its an inside joke.

Next year, tech inspections and a drivers meeting before you can go out to play?

Nah man, people just need to stop and think. Like I ragged on Joey last year. You don't put on a new suspension and test it out running with the fast group (and we weren't that fast) on the Dragon, especially when you've never driven the road before. I don't care how good you are. All of us need to take some time and get a feel for the car, the road and ourselves.

ok!! out my door and making my 10 min drive to the dragon..

i love where my house sits.. 10 mins from the dragon, 10 from wal-mart, 10 to work

hell yeah!

er correction, im RIDING.. my vert isnt going and my wide body is not done.
so... riding along with a fellow area member

I really wish I could have made it this year. I even managed to get the days off, but the guy who was supposed to be going with me backed out of the deal last minute, and I wasn't about to make a 8 or 9 hour drive by myself to a place I had never been before.

A 1st gen had a dead fuel pump this morning, a 20b FD supposedly had clutch problems, a canadian FD drove in on a donut, the RE motorcycle wouldnt start, and an FD blew coolant seals on the way down and was left in Cincinnati. I think that about covers it.

that explains most of it. Pink Flea's fc had a little accident but a few people like DJ were able to help get her radiator back in shape and get her back on the road.

FC from Indiana (I think) was tagged by a motorcycle in the wrong lane (the motorcycle not the fc), beat up a wheel real bad and essentially tore open the side of the FC. Don't remember whose it is but the silver/grey FD with the widebody, sleek headlights, etc apparently had a run in with a guard rail on a beer run last night. Don't know the whole story from what I had heard he hit a patch of gravel or something and skidded off against a piece of guard rail. Scrapped up the whole passenger side of the car, front wheel, busted at least the cover on the passenger headlight.

I think that was about it incident wise.

Not Bad.

It was a little dinged up but nothing a screw driver and handle from a large floor jack couldnt make road worthy again. He is driving it back to LA as I type this. Im sure it will be just as clean as it was before, no one got seriously injured over the weekend so I think it was a success all around. Could not have asked for a cleaner group of rotary powered vehicles.

BTW Kevin you need to contact Phil you won 1st place in the car show for 2nd gen and her has your plaque. Congrats.

zonblitz 04-14-2008 09:59 AM

Yeah Kevin that was me, just hit the gravel and no room to correct. sucks but the state trooper made me feel better about it. He said that happens quite a bit and he had some brooms in his car and we swept up the gravel.

Car drove home fine and I'll have it back together soon. It's all cosmetic damage.

ROTORX7Holly 04-14-2008 12:53 PM

Thank goodness Kenny. That was a beautiful specimen of an FD, and hopefully will be very soon.

Holly
