The Teflon tape should hold up to the premix, but it's secondary to the seal created by the NPT tapered thread arrangement on all the fittings.
As far as the push lock fittings, make sure they are in the locked position and they should not leak. I already locked them for you, but it doesn't hurt to check. Let me know if it turns out that they do leak and I will get you different fittings that will most definitely work, but aren't that pretty. I cleaned the tank out before I shipped it, but it doesn't hurt to put some brake cleaner in the tank and swash it around to break up any Teflon, aluminum shaving, etc. A filter between the tank and the omp isn't a bad idea, there are units large enough that wouldn't cause a flow restriction. |

Will be doing another GB later this year. Been pretty busy with other stuff, ETA August at the soonest.
Adam Here's John Magnuson Installed unit. |
Sorry for the delay, I did not plan on lagging some engine work for this long.
The product looks amazing and the craftsmanship and design is definitely top notch. This is one of the coolest parts I have seen for the FD. I can definitely appreciate the labor that went into this and this was a steal at the price you had it for. Here are pix of it mocked up on my engine: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...0709092307.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...0709092303.jpg |

They're brass units with a knurl and expansion nut. The fittings you have on your tank will work just fine. But let me know if you want them still and I can arrange a set to be sent for a reasonable price.

What's the current price Adam?
|
It's not dead, just not many people interested. Add yourself to the list guys.
Speedjunkie, sorry not getting back to you sooner. Estimated cost for the power steering tank $225 with screw on filler neck and custom inlet/outlets. |
It's cool. I got your message on the other forum and replied. Thanks.
Also, what is the current price of the catch tank? The only thing I'm not crazy about with that is blocking the crank angle sensors, if it actually does that is. |
I'd be interested in this as it seems to hide in the engine but I 'd like it to work like my current catch can where it drains back into the oil pan via the front cover. I have 2 vents, one from the rear turbo drain and a tap into the oil filler neck. Also, your only using one small vent, do you find thats enough? Have you taken the car to a road coarse to test it?
