I know the Synapse 50mm WG pretty well and how to set it up.

What is the A/R rating on your gt42? What is your peak boost goal, at what psi do you want the wg to open to maximize responsiveness and is it dumped to atmosphere or recirc'd? Also do you have the 60 lbs preload spring and 60 lbs main spring installed? The wastegate by itself is pretty controllable, the boost controller just provides an additional level of response, duty cycle will have to obviously fine tuned.

Can't answer any of most of these questions but I will find out. Peak boost will be no more than 18 PSI. It is dumped to atmosphere. Regarding PSI and when it should open, I'd like it to be really drivable and roll into the power if that makes any sense. Don't want it to slam you with uncontrollable power. Finally, I will check on the springs and get back to you. The Greddy unit is easy to install and use but as I recall the Synapse guys said the boost controller had to be hooked up in a particular way for the wastegate to work properly. It's over caution on our part. Any advice you have is appreciated.

Small update: Had fun yesterday with the car. Took it out with my BMW M3 friend for a little "spirited driving". Holy sh*t! Went to a road where we could let it fly and I must admit, we were squealing like a couple of school girls. Tires beak loose at about 30% throttle and it is a wild ride. Neither of us got into it more than 50% throttle and it was all we could handle. Can't imagine what it will be like to punch it full throttle. Way about my skill level.

I need to take my SUV to Orlando today for some work (my local dealer Matheny Imports is unethical) so I am going to follow my wife down in the RX7. This gives me a chance to shake out the car some more so I feel comfortable driving the car to DGRR.

very nice ride war eagle. Please post up any info you get on the synapse gate. I too am running one and boost was unstable down low for me on the dyno. Boost would creep the entire pull so we could not do a pump gas tune. I am running the lowest setting spring wise. Running with a profec B. 19psi up it conrols boost....

Will do. The Synapse seems to be working great for me though and I have no boost creep I have the 50mm unit. Jesus wanted to ensure the unit is hooked up correctly though before pressing it any further.

Extremely nice build. Glad everything worked out in the end.

That's half your problem, install the 60lbs/inch main and preload spring.
