I got rid of the 10 bolt and pulled a 8.8 out of an explorer in the junkyard. I got it cut down, all the 4 link, coilover brackets, and axle ends welded on. Mosier 31 spline axles with bearing ends. This should hold up pretty well

3D printing your own custom parts just put this at a whole new level. I'm jealous as hell now..

Probably going to be the nicest REPU. Ever.

I have a few more in the works, also in different colors. I don't like the green. "Nicest" well that might be a stretch, I'm not going to paint it. I like the gangster ass rust

WE3RX7 06-07-2015 07:57 AM

OOOH.. no paint? Hmmm... I'd still drive it :)

If you do make more of those, I may be interested. Have looked at using the platinum series on the next two builds I want to do. Need to get moved first...

I finally made a decision on what turbo to go with. Hopefully it should work out just fine.

FC Zach 07-01-2015 02:58 PM

Sweet! Come in today?

almoststockfc 07-01-2015 04:59 PM

Yep. It took me longer to make the decision on what to buy than it did to come in.

rx7 vinnie 07-01-2015 09:46 PM

Can't wait to see end result.

estevan62274 07-01-2015 11:12 PM

Yea its a 8374. It took me forever to decide on what turbo to buy. I narrowed it down to the 8374 and the 9180, i still dont like the fact you cant rebuild them though.

estevan62274 07-02-2015 07:33 AM

Yep this is true... Hopefully you never have to cross that path.
BTW sick REPU! Keep up the great work.

WE3RX7 07-02-2015 02:21 PM

nice turbo!! Looking at those myself.. Looking forward to see what you do with it.

speedjunkie 07-03-2015 08:47 PM

I love my EFR. Does yours have the investment cast or sand cast turbine housing? I hope they start making them with investment cast again someday.

almoststockfc 07-05-2015 03:28 PM

After having some setback with the rear end and rear brake, shes slowly moving along. I wasn't expecting to deal with a month of bs just for the rear end.

I wasn't aware that they made 2 different kinds. I will have to do some research and find out

GySgtFrank 07-08-2015 06:00 PM
