-Tokico D-Spec Struts
-Tein S-Tech springs
-Agency Power sway bars and endlinks (front adjustable)
-New window beltline seals
-Mazda OEM front splashguards
-2009 Mazda RX-8 factory wheels
-RE Amemiya Super Dolphin Tail catback exhaust.

Can't. Wait.

LOL I started with "oh I just need tires", now that I have added springs, struts, gauges, random cooling mods, and exhaust, I think I am going to relocate the battery. I dont know what will run out first, the cash or my wife's patience:lol:

Shit. Forgot about the Mazsport cooling fan mod kit I have as well. It might not get installed. We are working on making a different version :)

And the wife only needs to know what she needs to know. Catch my drift. I bought all the big ticket items with the money from my FB I sold to IH8DSM. The wheels blew my budget, but I got them so fucking cheap I could not pass them up.

Fuck, well looks like I am out of DGRR... had a pretty nasty accident working on my dads truck, and now I have a broken collar bone that is going to prevent me driving a manual transmission for two months, plus I am going to burn through my time off from work with doctors visits..... THIS SUCKS, I have spent alot of time and money getting the car ready, in fact I finished this morning!!!!:banghead:

Sure, after repeating it many times for the paramedics I pretty much have it down .

I am usually always super careful when getting under a vehicle, usually multiple fail-safes to protect me. I was working on my dads truck and had it on ramps. I got the chalks to block the wheels, but they never made it behind the wheels. Turns out the moment you pop a shift linkage loose is a bad time to realize the e brake isn't working. :epic facepalm: The truck (a big Sierra, thank goodness) came off the ramps (my feet were sticking out the front of the truck and I was laying on my side), and the front bumper pinned me and drug me about 6 feet before I could twist to lay flat to let it pass over me. I had to get up and run to the truck to stop it, then run back up the driveway to get my phone cause I was pretty sure I needed an ambulance.

So the result? a snapped right clavicle and severe bruising and contusions. I have to drive my moms suv for two months since I dont even own a automatic vehicle (unless Phil wants to loan me the Comso, LOL)

So needless to say, I am VERY fucking lucky I just have a broken clavicle and bruising, not a funeral. I am still pissed at myself for such a careless mistake..

Wow!!! as bad is it is someone was looking our for you. sounds like you will be OK and back in no time. You said 2 months? DGRR is only a month and half away if you could get the time off work its still close to the 2 month window so don't count it out quite yet. maybe someone could drive you or pick you up on thier way and still attend the meet just no crazy driving

Car is looking good. Brian has the Haltech/harness in( its amazing how light a harness is when its not full of emissions crap) ,wideband hooked up, fuel almost done (if the pump ever comes in) next up full 3" exhaust and V-mount intercooler in a FB.

Seriously... about all we're missing is the pump and it could start.

I brought some 1" round AL from CT this morning :reddevil:

VMIC will be fun, that's for damn sure.... I'll be done with the 8's in a few days, and then back on your car if the pump shows up....still not here.

Yup.......... that about covers my to-do list :smilielol5:

Oh, BTW MC.... the Overheat Exh lamp is on the idiot cluster in the 'vert's so I'm stealing your idea for the check engine light ;)

2gslse 03-05-2012 08:25 PM

After seeing you still taking stuff OUT of the vert I can see why Dave says tic-toc so much. by the time DGRR is on you he will be using a bullhorn to screw with you

TitaniumTT 03-05-2012 08:39 PM

 Kyle got to the radio before I did and he had on some rap crap all day long so the Ipod came out with the earbuds.... everytime Dave walked by he said.... tic-toc motherfucker ... and he had to yell it

Then at the end of the day he asked what in the hell I was doing still taking shit out and jerking around with wiring harnesses the way I was. Answer was simple... the best wiring is that which you cannot see.... by doing it this way, the front harness comes out the firewall and dives behind the fender immediately. The engine harness with the CC and the wipers are against the firewall, the engine harness hits the back of the engine and does it's thing, tranny harness is in the engine harness as well as the reverse lights, stock water temp, oil pressure, and oil level all in one harness. So in each corner you only see a few feet of wiring and that's it.... everything in front of the engine is clean... shock towers... all that jazz.

The whole time he's looking at me with an eyebrow raised before he finally asks... is it worth it?

Hell yeah! Day and a 1/2 or less or extra wiring to pull out everything that's not needed and make it so that everythings clean.... psssssh yeah!

Day and a 1/2! I see a say already you won't have that done in 1/2 a day.....

You watch...

tic-tock... tic-tock motherfucker
