Nice video runs! I caught a 10.0 in there as well. I added you in to everything but the 60' times because you didn't provide one. Post that up and I'll get you in there as well.

I got a new best this weekend, not much faster but still is better. I was .10sec slower in the 60', but still got a better time. I was also able to hit 108mph a couple times, highest before was about 107.5mph. As you can see, there is a lot of room for improvement, I'm still learning how to launch this car. I was #10 on the right

pluto 02-26-2010 08:40 PM

how old does the run need to be? last time I ran my car was in 2001.

Get that car ready for IFO! I still have to do a retune on the first gen. Maybe it will go smoothly, but keep your fingers crossed.

Bryan

sk8world 03-14-2010 04:55 PM

Whats the dates again? I will be ready. I am going to have the 2 step, differant suspension and run more psi this year. Got to get on the ball!!!!!!

Bryan@BNR 03-14-2010 06:29 PM

I hear ya! 5/16 be ready. We need a big rotary turn out. Anyone that runs even a 12 second car can be in the show! Its fun...

sk8world 04-02-2010 06:08 PM

Only thing I have left to do is the 2 step. Sure wish I would have just put the AEM in now. I am not going to run it at the track till after the gap.

You should of traded me when I still have the AEM?

sk8world 04-03-2010 08:04 PM

I have one on the shelf. When Ray came and tuned it for me I let him decide what ecu to use. Shouldnt have given him a choice.

more along the lines of I didn't realize the track was flat and I was three pedal mashing it, then I hopped a lot before actually going anywhere./noob

(that was actually my second run... my first run... I stalled...)

This is my first run ever on a strip.

estevan62274 06-16-2010 04:58 PM

Anyone out there racing at the strip anymore?? ..... Mike, Bryan, jamespond24 ????

I'm still gathering parts for my single turbo conversion.
Its taking to long :(

Hell yes... Just freakin HOT! I went to the track 2 weeks ago to test the 2 step.. Car went as quick as it has ever gone with 5psi less and no 2 step. Just a swap in suspension. I was pumped. Turned the boost up and the 2 step on and car came out of the hole better than it has ever. Fell on its face middle of first gear ( long story of fuel issue- sump going in next), clutch slipping bad, so bad I had to let off to get it to grab some and still went about the same. SO new clutch-flywheel-PPlate going in tonight-this weekend. Test next week, then planing on going to NC SICC event to run that first 9.99999999.

Just get yours done intime for fall to go have some fun. Ray told me he would come back south anytime!

Yeah the next 2 weekend is going to be it for this year. I only got 1 run last Sunday and the tune was really rich so if I take fuel out I think the car should be in the mid to low 10's. This is on my old MT drag radial:D

sk8world 11-22-2010 12:51 AM

only 1/8th mile racing but new best for me of 6.49 then backed up with a 6.44 @108 (1.39 sixty foot). Should be good for a 9.9x pass but will have to wait till 2011 before I get that slip.

^ Good times Mike! Glad to see you got her back together.
That trans seems like it was worth it. I hope it holds together for you!

antman0408 11-24-2010 12:08 AM

I'm nowhere near as fast as you guys, but at least I'm still out there racing my car. I was able to get a new best for me, 13.187 at 109.79 with a bad 2.144 60'. I'm happy with the mph I'm getting but I'm shooting for 12s with the stock turbo. I can't get a good launch, it just wheel hops all through first. Hopefully I'll be able to go back to the track at least one more time and get a better time before they all close.

If you got an FD I would recommend getting the differential brace. You'll hook up alot better.
