And here's an oh shit picture. Noticed this when I was mocking up some more things to weld onto my radiator :suspect: Here is the benefit to ducting. The only way for the blades to hit the cage like this is from air pushing them into it. If the fan was on, the blades would be pulled into the core, not the other way around..... I wonder if blasting across the desert @ 130mph had something to do with this?

No matter, I need to build a new shround and use 8" fans x2 becuase of the belly pan I plan on building. So this will go on the ever expanding wall of fame, wall of shame, it dun blowed up shelf...

AAAAANNNNNDDDDD just for Vex. I actually have the wheel here with me in case we need to grab a few more measurements. The key measurement though is the ID. I mic'ed the hub up to 3.25" So whatever you feel is adequate clearance to keep the bitch centered, and keep it as strong as possible. 3.26" maybe? 3.255"?

Ah hem....where are my brake parts, lol....

TitaniumTT 03-21-2011 09:32 PM

Crap, sorry.... I didn't have access to a comp until this morning, everything else has been via phone and that was a long PM to write out on a small ass keyboard.... expect a call in a bit

Need to know the diameter of the 3 bolt holes. Does not look like the quoted 95mm. Is it on the same 114.3mm as the lugs?

He's out for work and a bit spotty on the forum til he gets back from "paradise", lol.

Must drive to CT and molest unprotected car :)

TitaniumTT 03-22-2011 07:40 PM

Car is still protected, left dogs at home :suspect:

But if are going to go molest her, can you rape the engine out and clean the bay for me so I can do some re-spraying when I get back so I can get the engine in with all the new goodies installed? BNR's, new super awesome timing setup, new ceramic and powder coated goodies... etc etc etc.

Now that hommie hooked me up with a wireless inet connection, I can at least check up on some stuff from time to time which is cool, cuz phone typing out long replies/PM's, multi-quoting ain't all it's cracked up to be.

I thought about a few things like that, but honestly, there's plenty of room to get an 11/16" and a 3/4" wrench up there to loosen them.

You should make everything on your car quick disconnect. As often as you take it down to nothing might as well save the time

:smilielol5: Touche my friend, touche.... but after this time I'm never taking it down to nothing again..... except next winter when I start playing with single turbos.... and maybe the winter after that when I repaint the whole car... unless I get brave and do all that next year.

From my understanding, that's EXACTELY why the DBW systems have the safety of a redundant TPS in there... to prohibit thing like that from happening.

Also, from my understanding the OMP on the Renni doesn't have a feedback, while the S5+ units do, again, for that reason of it being rather important. Not quite sure why Mazda changed it for the Renni, but I'm sure they have some type of safety involved with it... I agree with ya, it would be foolish not to,

the Rx8 MOP is explained in the service highlights book. off the top every couple of engine starts the ecu puts the pump thru its range, so it isn't checked in real time like the 89-2003 pumps.

we set my haltech to run the mop (it was a 20B), the haltech can RUN a stepper motor, but the position sensor is a problem, because its monitored somewhere else, and you can't do anything EXCEPT log it. so if the MOP took a crap, there is no limp home, no CEL....
