I still think a bullhorn would be better. but I can see him yelling tic-toc everytime he walks by

TitaniumTT 03-05-2012 09:00 PM

 He had to POUND on the windshield to get my attention once.... I suspect something like that will be employed eventually

I brought some 1" round AL from CT this morning :reddevil:

VMIC will be fun, that's for damn sure.... I'll be done with the 8's in a few days, and then back on your car if the pump shows up....still not here.

so your doing a v mount on the 8? more info please!!!

TitaniumTT 03-06-2012 11:09 AM

No VMIC in an 8, we've got 2 here with bad turbos that nees swapping... the 8 is far and away the biggest PITA of all the rotaries to work on

2gslse 03-06-2012 11:12 AM

No the 8 is N/A and I won't be doing any more mods to it since it is currently for sale

the V-mount is being done on my turbo FB that Brian is finishing up for me. The plan is for it to go to DGRR this year instead of my trusty single turbo FD (shes getting tired and will be rebuilt after I build a garage big enough to house everything)
The Fb will prob have more power than the FD and better street manners also.

LOL it DOES have a small ass engine compt.! I relocated my battery just so I could access the cooling system with the car running...
Bad turbos? Let me guess, Greddy kits? Have the owners done the "fixes" to keep the turbo from cooking itself?

Only a few weeks left ladies and gents!
Changed my brake pads this past weekend so I can be sure they are ready for DGRR - also decided I needed a bigger wing ;) We are just about ready to slay the Dragon now! Just need to do an oil change before we leave, make some custom CD's, get walkie-talkie radios and GAS UP!

1) install new door belt line seals DONE
2) install Tokico D-Spec struts with Tein S-Techs DONE

Plus-

4) Installed front splash/mud guards
5) Installed RE-Amemiya Super Dolphin Tip catback

Only this left is to get my tires flipped to my 2010 RX-8 wheels and an alignment. Both of which should happen this weekend :) This pic was mid tear down. I'll post a completed photo once the wheels are on.

Alright, shitty cell phone pic with the new wheels on. It is pretty much done with the exception of a good cleaning, and a re-seal of the right rear taillight.
