Good luck on the dyno today MC!

Thanks man, maybe next trip up. Like I was telling you on the phone 396 RWHP at 14 psi on an Apexi RX6 single is a great # especially with 35K on the clock. I will be looking into my wastegate soon though Dave said it may have a weak spring in the wastegate or its binding after it gets hot. this set-up will be killer in my FB with the 13B-RE.

Ummmmm are you buying a spool of 1.5"?

Prowireusa.com man, cheapest prices I've found and they sell it by the foot ;)

I shall submit this thread as Exhibit 1.

You build it once, and then you find things to improve upon and then you fix those things. Sometimes you find your engine bay and engine so dirty that it requires you to pull said engine to clean everything. Sometimes you're just an overbearing OCD asshole, I submit myself as exibit 1 ;)

No worries man, those are some damn good numbers indeed. Are you taking that setup and dropping it in the FB? That would be soooooooooooo money. What wastegate are you running?

Soooooooooooooooo here's something interesting that happened today. First the good news...... my turbo's came in and they are AWESOME! I got to molest them for about 5 minutes until my buddy showed up in his POS daily bitch.... an '88 300SE Benz. This piece of poo has an oilpan that is not only cast AL, but it also hangs lower than the front bumper, and farther forward than the wheels :banghead: Sooooo today as he was pulling into a parking spot he went a little too far, cracked the curb, and now there is a 6"x1" HOLE in the oilpan. So we spent a little time tonight loosening the motor mounts, removing the engine shock absorbers  hoising the fucker up and getting the pan out. Tomorrow he is going to square up the hole, cut a few pieces of AL out and I'm going to weld the motherf*cker up..... soooooooooooooo yeah, that's taking a little time away from the ole' FC. Pics coming of that soon too.

Thanks! That's much better to deal with. I was looking at digikey and they only sold it by the spool. I'll be ordering it from them shortly.

Prowireusa has the datasheets on the Raychem and the Raychem boots so you can shoose what you need. Take a look at the Raychem boots.... they are the definition of sexy heatshrink..... I spent probably $1200 on Raychem and boots for the Landi.

Yes it is the set-up for the FB the only changes are I will be using a 13B-RE and the later version RX6 turbo that uses a short runner manifold (I will have to clearance the lower manifold a little bit since the compressor just touches the RE lower) I already have the engine, the S4 N/A rotors I got from you, turbo kit from another FD, huge front mount intercooler and the Haltech platinum 1000 sitting here so most of my build is waiting for a little more money and a lot of time. hoping to crack 400 hp in a 2500lb car so it should be a rocket until the diff explodes:biggthumpup:

The wastegate is the one that came with the kit its an Apexi also but they have had a few failures on them in the past the bushing binds on the shaft when they get hot so all I need to do is bore out the bushing a tiny bit Dave said he has seen it before with that gate so I'll do both of mine at the same time

At least somebody is making progress this weekend!

TitaniumTT 04-16-2011 01:51 PM

Damn dude... I think I'm gonna have to hit you up for a ride @ DGRRXI seeing as how I'll be in a MAYBE 150rwhp lifted XJ.

That FB will be a rocket. Ever give any thoughts to swapping out the rear for an IRS?

Nope.

Sleep is for the weak and the lazy

I'll sleep when I'm dead

I slept for the first 9 months of my life, I'm trying to make up for lost time

The standing record for me to beat is 52 hrs.... You sure you want me back in Cali for that 3-rotor ;)
