So I conversed with a (drunken) Angry Stig last night and the take away is that he won't be able to come down this weekend as planned.

Instead I'll be doing all I can to finish buttoning everything up on my own (any and all help will be greatly appreciated) and then he and his Domestic Partner will be down the following weekend for the finishing touches.

So yeah, MC/Billy, new date for Brian coming down will be the evening of the 19th through the 21st.

Thats what I heard - depending on how the 8 goes this weekend, I may have time to bounce up there for a few...

So a bit of an update.. Last weekend I/we dug into the FD again, the tranny is on the engine now, the manifold nuts were all swapped out for Copper Clad locking ones, the engine mounts are torqued down and the engine subframe is bolted back up to the frame.

We got the stock fuel lines fully removed last weekend (thanks James/JL1RX7!) and now all that is left is for me to make the mounting plate for my fuel filter and measure/cut my fuel lines.

During the week I decided to go a slightly different path with my fuel routing.. I spoke with Brian and we'll be mounting a swirl pot in the trunk with my Bosch 044 mounted externally on my rear subframe, next to my fuel filter, to feed the fuel system with no worries of fuel starvation.

I think (pretty positive) we'll be remaking my meth tank at the same time and relocating the associated aquamist pump/wiring (if anybody has suggestions for location and aesthetics I'm def open to them, I have an idea in my mind but additional input is always appreciated).

So yeah, I was a lazy fuck this weekend and I relaxed (played the shit out of, and hated, the new DLC for Borderlands 2) instead of finishing up the fuel lines. It looks like I'll be putting a couple hours into fuel routing each night this week. That way everything will be ready next weekend when Brian comes back down for the final house-call... Hopefully by this time next week I'll be too busy breaking in my new engine to post up ^_^

Slacker.

Fendamonky 01-23-2013 08:36 AM

Yeah... I know... :(

JL1RX7 01-23-2013 05:29 PM

Still down for this weekend? So we can all get lazy together?

TitaniumTT 01-23-2013 06:05 PM

Still down for this weekend... I told Levi and Mike that Hell or High water can't keep me out of VA, but snow will  Mike offered to drive north and pick my ass up if that's the case..... if it is I'll head to H-Burg in the ZJ.... that way when the tranny totally fucking pukes on me, it's only like a 60mile hike to the shop to grab a truck and trailer

No lazy.... I'm going to ride you like an inbred redheaded step child..... lazy on Sunday if we get her started on Saturday.... Then you can all line up on the fenders so I can rape you....

JL1RX7 01-23-2013 06:22 PM

OOOOOh tease me Brian! Can't wait for the angry stig

Gigity.. So who all thinks they might be swinging by on Saturday or Sunday? I wanna know so I can plan noms and such.

JL1RX7 01-24-2013 05:56 PM

More details on the such.... Let me know what time.

WE3RX7 01-24-2013 07:24 PM

I'm wrapping up the rx8 and the daytona 24 hours is running at 3pm on speed.... I'll be with you all in spirit. That and we're on "baby watch" as the wife already had false labor once this week so we're all on pins and needles now, lol...

Most likely starting up work around noon on Saturday. I just finished cutting up the mounting bracket for the fuel filter and I'll be measuring out the -8 lines tonight. Tomorrow I'll get all the fuel lines in the engine bay measured out and cut. Ideally all we'll need to do on Saturday is double check the fuel lines to make sure they won't leak then finish putting the engine bay all together.

I'm hoping/thinking that shouldn't take more than a couple hours :fingers_crossed: :knock_on_wood: :farley:

Oh, wow! I didn't realize she was about to pop. Staying at home def takes precedence over swinging by here. Though... If all goes to plan maybe Brian and I can swing by in the FD for a few on Sunday :auto:

WE3RX7 01-24-2013 08:39 PM

I'm good with that... you'll need a good drive for break-in.

JL1RX7 01-24-2013 09:17 PM

Cool. I have some morning work Saturday that should be finished by tenish.
