Update, okay first I want to let everyone know I accepted a job with BMW at the BMW Performance Test Center in Greenville, South Carolina. I will be leaving Oregon tomorrow.

I did my best, but I was not able to get all the tanks done. Once I get settled into South Carolina will commence fabrication of the tanks. I want to apologize for the inconvenience. I will give you guys a ETA on completion when I get back into the fabricating the tanks.

Adam

Ah man I'm jealous! Have fun.

No worries here. I'll be out of country until January anyway haha.

Good luck with the new job!

As soon as I get access to a TIG welder I will be roughly a month out from there. Working on finding a TIG welder, local powder coater and a place I can get silver brazing done.

Quick question, where does the hose from the filler neck go, right to the top? I was thinking about doing the Damian filler neck from Re-Speed with the -10 fitting, but I don't want to if it won't work with this can or if it's not worth it. Your thoughts Adam?

RedR1 10-11-2011 04:32 PM

We need to meet up for dinner, Adam!!!

FierceAlien 10-20-2011 05:37 AM

Its been over a month since the last update. I was not expecting this to take this long. Any news on finishing this product you are offering?

afgmoto1978 11-07-2011 04:06 PM

Alright guys, sorry this has taken so long. I really apologize for this. I will finally be able to order the welder I need to finish this project later this week. Once I get the welder I will focus all my spare time to get these tanks done. My estimate is I will be done with these tanks by middle of December.

Thank you all for being patient.

Adam

Sweet! I'm stoked!

afgmoto1978 11-19-2011 10:45 PM

Okay guys as of tomorrow I'm back into production of these tanks.

FierceAlien 12-07-2011 06:41 AM

Greetings,

How goes the production since you started back up a few weeks ago. Can we get an update again please.

Thanks. :)

Id like to pick one up but i dont want to wait a decade

afgmoto1978 12-08-2011 09:58 PM

Sigh, I want to apologize, unfortunately my welder went into a fritz and it needs to get it fixed. I'm waiting for a reply from a Miller tech services rep on what needs to be fixed.

So at this point in time I'm on hold again on welding the remaining tanks until I can get it fixed. I'm really really sorry about this guys.

At this point in time I have three tanks that are completely welded up and ready to be put together as kits. So in the meantime while I try and get my welder fixed I will be finishing three catch tank kits ASAP. I will be working on the rear turbo side vent lines and remaining parts needed this weekend.

So at this point in time I need to know which three of the list below needs tanks NOW instead of later.

1. speedjunkie - Dep
2. RedR1 - Deposit Paid - Polished Catch Tank
3. Zhe
4. Scrubolio - Dep

The guys below I know are either not in a position that they need the tanks NOW in order to get their cars running OR need premix tanks which I do not have any done. Thanks for your patience guys! FierceAlien, I'm really sorry.

1. Astrokid - Paid in Full - Catch Tank - Raw Finish
2. Matt Hardwick - Xenocide0 - Deposit Paid - Pre - Mix Tank - Satin Black
3. FierceAlien - Deposit Paid - Premix tank - Satin Black
4. Jesse Frame - aka Prometheus - Paid in Full - Catch Tank - Satin Finish
5. Rob - Paid in full - Custom AN Fittings - Raw finish
6. aoc007 - Paid in Full - Catch Tank - Satin Black

aoc007 12-08-2011 10:07 PM

I still have the old tank so I dont need the new one right away but I'd like to have it in the next couple months before the new track season starts.

Lol, in won't be a decade from now. If your serious I will be selling my extra tank early next year, mind you at full price. If you want it buy it.

Adam
