I think they're just messing with your mind. I'm sure they know perfectly well what a back half car is. kids these days. :icon_no2:

A back half car is a drag racing setup. It is this:

http://tse1.mm.bing.net/th?&id=JN./A...9&rs=0&p=0&r=0

and tubs in the rear half of the car, leaving the front suspension geometry more or less the same as factory.

I wish I could say I was kidding. I really had never heard the term before.

Sorry, but I can't stand to see animals, children, or Army fooks being tortured. It's a weakness of mine. ;)

Hey do any of you have a spare or a phone dial wheel (with a tire) you'd be willing to part with? I have a potential buyer for my car and i probably need to get a wheel back on the rear.

FC Zach 08-11-2015 10:59 PM

Junk yard, any 5x114. I imagine they have hundreds of them laying around.

rx7 vinnie 08-12-2015 12:42 PM

Phone dial wheels are 4 lug there chief.........jus sayin.

FC Zach 08-12-2015 12:51 PM

Either way, probably just as easy to find at any local scrap yard.

rx7 vinnie 08-12-2015 01:06 PM

YOU WANNA FIGHT?!?!?!?

Dosent seem like anyone wants to know any technical information, so not going to waste my time posting things. Ill just post when its done.

rx7 vinnie 08-24-2015 07:03 AM

That's not true...... I lurk but have no input but like seeing odd builds.

If you play the tease, you're going to get hurt. :squint:

Besides, a build thread is about publishing what and how you have done things, for anyone else crazy enough to try something as extreme as what you are doing. Consider it your contribution to humanity's knowledge base and it helps to keep people interested in the forum. ;)

You're doing something different with a lot of fabrication and custom parts, I wouldn't expect people to get too technical. It's your project to share your ideas, successes, and/or failures. . Like Gunny mentioned, "about publishing what and how you have done things, for anyone else crazy enough to try something as extreme as what you are doing."

We should organize a rotary cruise before it gets cold because my car is a bitch to start in the winter.

reddozen 08-25-2015 04:16 PM

I got the 8 running pretty good now. Still can't get the power steering to behave though.

Can I come and bring the speed? BTW my buyer fell through for the FC. So its still up for grabs if any of you change your mind and want it. The catback is spoken for though.

When you're running 4x 880cc and 2x 800cc injectors in an NA setup you tend to have more fuel than the car can use....

Not that the injectors were the total, problem, but they were more fuel for an NA setup than the factory computer could be tuned to use. If it was FI, then it probably would have been ok.

Just have to get the power steering to behave once and for all now. Then the rest is cosmetic fixes to the car.

FI?

Forced Induction. 800cc on a NA? Damn that is huge. I doubt a N/A bridgeport could use even that much.
