No Problemo!

I am thinking of doing about the same thing. Except Stock 13B mount not front cover mount.

If you are worried about noise then just stay away from solid mounts. Dude here runs solid motor and trans mounts and its pretty much racecar loud with the drivetrain. Its weird because it is loud but not a lot of vibration with interior kinda strange.

I don't mind some noise, but it is primarily a street car. The urethane should work out a little better. I do want good stability without having to resort to extra engine torque bars. I'm going to be pressed enough on room when I try to fit a turbo and associated hardware in there.

Thanks. It has been a handful. Still at it, albeit slowly. I haven't been able to dedicate as much time to it as I would like for a while now. I'll get it done eventually though. I'm not too worried about it as the build is the part I truly enjoy. :cheers2:

You know what part I enjoy :suspect:

no disrespect intended, but are you aware of what an original 79 would fetch in a few years? this is a personal thing, but your car will have very little value in the market place in time.

enjoy it at least

cheers

It's a base, late '78 model that had a blown engine, 4 speed, and some body damage. It wouldn't have been worth much, as it was probably going to the crusher if I hadn't bought it as a toy. I wouldn't do what I've done to a pristine, low mileage, desirable model. Which is why I bought one very few people wanted. It was in good enough shape to do what I wanted without getting ridiculous with the bodywork, but not so good that it should be restored. Engine and suspension work is a different story on the ridiculous scale of things. My vision is an SA that looks almost stock, but performs better than an FD. This is my path to that goal.

Haha all of these cars are worth NOTHING NOW! They are being hauled to scrap because $100 a ton is worth more...They will be worth nothing in the future.

Mazda's for monetary collectors value...

I know it's been awhile but I miss seeing updates on this build :cheers2:

Lots of water under the bridge with the stupid MG and having to move back to Montana. I need to get a shop set up again, etc, etc. She's sitting out back of the house waiting for me to get back to it. One of these days. :(
