Well Johnny the FD isn't gonna work out. I didn't realize the title wasn't in his name so I can't get a loan for it. The search continues. Also..... What's all done to your FD again? And what county do you live in?

almoststockfc 04-04-2016 12:16 PM

I just found over 100 pictures of DGRR 2011 and they are awesome

I want one so bad but the level of quality I want in one comes with a 15-20k price tag.... Sigh...... Maybe I should just find a really nice FC.

But wait.... That's hard too.

Clean is clean... most of the FCs here have been left to rot. Just look at mine.... lol

TitaniumTT 04-06-2016 09:25 AM

Shifting with your left hand is just plain wrong

TitaniumTT 04-06-2016 09:33 AM

RE11
RE71

when I talked to discount tire earlier this wk they said re11 are no longer available.

from what unread re71 is awesome but prob won't last long.

I don't hear much on the r1r

rs3 is supposed to be good for the price.

I ended up going with pole position s04. good performing tire in wet and dry conditions and should last up me 20k miles.

djmtsu 04-06-2016 10:18 AM

Last weekend to work on the crapcan coming up. Very little is needed, but any help is appreciated.

I kinda feel like it's all or nothing. I don't really have a desire to attend DGRR AGAIN with no rotary, especially the Cosmo. I NEED to bring the car home Sunday so I can drive it and shake it down and clean it up before Thursday.

Buddy of mine that tracks his rx8 has the Dunlop Star Spec II and loves them.
I just got a set for my new wheels for DGRR. BTW, there are no RE71s in the us
until 4/18 unless your tire dealer has some hidden away. Tirerack has it posted
as the available date now. I also hear the RE71s are great for autocross but
don't last as a track tire.

I FUCKING LOVE THAT TIRE. It's the only one that's been able to keep my FC's rear straight when matted

So I also hear. More for cornering than straigh line grip which is what I need :biggrinjester: Smoked the center out of the R1R's that I have now

Don't be a pussy, drive untested. It's more fun that way ;)

Really? I tried the Z1 SS and hated those as well. They were ok on the auto-x, until I mashed the gas, or the brakes. After one particular auto-x that was a good 2 hour drive away I put the fronts on the rear and just smoked them round in the parking lot

Pfft. FD owner. Wanna race?

Johnny_K 04-06-2016 10:51 AM

brian from what I read tread life doesn't last long. havent really seen any data that they last x amount of miles.

as for tire availability I would instant message the folks at tire rack to confirm. they are quick and u don't have to deal with the phone.

I'll let ya know about the availability but... looks like I might get boned. I do have a set of worn rear Z1SS's and a brand new set of fronts.... but :puke:

TitaniumTT 04-06-2016 11:36 AM

So no RE11's or RE71's..... :banghead: Between the R1R's and RS3's

Johnny_K 04-06-2016 02:24 PM

That won't happen, because they go for insane amounts overseas. Remember, in Aus and NZ, they look here to buy vintage Mazdas.

However, there is this for sale, and I know the guy.

Its about 10 minutes from my parents house. :)
