2 small issues to fix and she'll be good to go. Drive home yesterday was fairly uneventful, thankfully. And I definitely wasn't pussy footing it.

So the subie is running good then?

You'll find out Thursday!

almoststockfc 04-12-2016 07:40 AM

Anyone know if the little store thats across from Nantahala Village will be open? I know the sign outside said it would be open this year but i cant find any info on it.

TitaniumTT 04-12-2016 08:08 AM

Fuck that.... is there a Dunkin Donuts or a Starbucks in Bryson City? Coffee at the lodge leaves much to be desired

almoststockfc 04-12-2016 08:15 AM

Definitely a bojangles but idk about the others. The thought of being extremely hung over and having to drive a loud ass smelly truck to bryson city already makes me want to puke.

TitaniumTT 04-12-2016 08:30 AM

That's why we bring 2 boxes of joe with us.... at least I can nurse my hangover properly
cigarette, gatorade, coffee, tylenol, jacuzzi, sex.... not necessarily in that order either

almoststockfc 04-12-2016 08:37 AM

LOL ill remind myself not to get in the same jacuzzi as you

TitaniumTT 04-12-2016 08:42 AM

Boooooooo! Lets see how many people we can fit in the 2 person jacuzzi at the lodge

almoststockfc 04-12-2016 10:03 AM

There's an Ingles grocery store, an ABC (liquor) store, and beer at the gas stations... so you have some options.

JL1RX7 04-12-2016 10:20 AM

Maryville is the town you pass if you come from Knoxville going to DGRR. Depending on which way you guys are coming you pass through it. I know I will since I am already at mom's in Oak Ridge. Normally I can get to the Tennessee side in about 30 to 45 minutes. Now going all the way to the village take about hour to two depending on traffic.

So if you are at the first turn in on the Tennesseeside looking down at the small dam's it is way quicker to go to Maryville than it is to Bryson City. But if you are at Fontana Dam or the village than Bryson City wins.

We come from the South (Chattanooga) to Cleveland bypass and take 74 all the way in. We have taken the Dragon inbound before and have found it isn't fun to run through it with cars FULL OF SHIT!

JL1RX7 04-12-2016 10:38 AM

DJ you haven't lived till one, you have done the Dragon with snow on it. Two an 18 wheeler full of toilet paper jack knives blocking the whole road for a few hours and your almost out of gas.

I agree it sucks ass to have a car full of shit when doing 129. But well they do make these things called bungie cords. :o13:

Meh. It's quicker the southern route anyway, since we stay in NC. We are in a hurry to get there so we can begin Thirsty Thursday.

JL1RX7 04-12-2016 10:50 AM

Which is why I get here now on the weekend before. Mom's cooking is always a good thing.

FC Zach 04-12-2016 09:39 PM

That'll never happen lol

project86 04-13-2016 06:58 AM

So.... I'm looking into the importing an FC as a possibility still. But either way if I import or not I'm thinking of registering as an Antique to avoid the emissions. Are you guys making yours pass the tail pipe test or no?

Nope! Been there, don't that! I had originally had mine registered in another Co. but that was a PITA as well as illegal. . now I have antique tags :)

almoststockfc 04-13-2016 07:59 AM

Yes! That's what I'm talkin about! I'm glad I'm not the only one thinking about it. I guess I will then. I assume you're not stock.

You'll see. Zach's FC is far from stock, even though it looks it. His car is like jewelry under the hood.

FC Zach 04-13-2016 08:35 AM

Awe thanks DJ :)

Exit 89 and I-24. At the top of the ramp, go right, the Shell station will be on your left.

EDIT: Dammit Jeff!
