not sure why most of them dont come out, Maybe its the drive, who knows.
It really should not matter where or when the meets are especially if its under 20 -30 mins from someone. Heck, I drove to the meet in Atlanta one day just to stay for two hours and drive back home, just to meet new people. Their are not many of us and we need to keep this up. I like the way atlanta guys do it monthly.

Adler,
you will need to figure out what spring rate you want for the front of your car. Once you got that getting the rear set up is easy. Also depends on if your going to run a rear sway bar or not. Then is based on the shocks your plan to use also.

20% increase over stock is what RB does
145 front 112 rear

If they never come out it doesn't count. I've lived here for a year and a half and haven't met any of those people sans Jason who I believe now lives in Smyrna.

I hear ya. The bad thing is some of them been into rotary's for 5-10 years.
And Jason is in Spring Hill for about a month now, that is why he's been out of the loop with the move and everything.

The whole thing is we sometimes have to change things up in order to get people involved. If that means have a meet in other areas once in a while then why not? I mean we are all here to help each other and keep the rotary people together but with attitudes like "That's too far to drive" its not helping anyone.
Just my .02 cents!

Heck I remember back in 96/97 there was no Mazda Rotary group. It was not until I started getting everyone's email and we all started emailing each other about meets and what not. Back in 96 the meetings were in clarksville every month. We have come along way...... last time I counted emails of rotary people I had 52 names. Some of them have moved on but still linger around and I think we could get them out.

And I did forget Rodger Revett (Thompson Station) who was racing rx7's before most us were born.

btw - your welcome to come over here to meet anyone of them.

Also forgot about David (spring hill) and Jerry who work at Mazda in coolsprings and are rotary people at heart also. Jerry (Antioch) moved onto hondas but is probably the best person in 100 miles to setup a carbed rotary and get it dialed in.

I'm fine with driving to Spring Hill or wherever once a month, I just find it a bit risky considering the people who do show up are all in Smyrna/Murfreesboro. Like I said, I haven't met any of those people except you and you've come to like 2 of the 10 meets... It makes it hard to set up a meet so far away when that's the track record. That said, I'd be willing to do the one after Legends in Franklin or wherever and give it a shot if you think it would actually be worth it.

reddozen 12-28-2010 10:41 AM

I'll be out if i dont have to be in florida for court.

im not saying here every month or at all. I am saying it dont hurt to try a new area twice a year. As for me and my track record..... i would not go there! I as well as several others were doing this stuff way before most everyone came along. That is not what this is about. It is about hitting some areas onc or twice a month to get more people involved and not being selfish by saying its too far. Heck for a long time we had people in murfreesboro that would not come out and it was in murfreesboro.
We can make this better and get more rotorheads involved if we all sacrifice once a year and set a meeting somewhere else.
Example - Have a meet in Nashville to get the word out their, cookville and you might get alot from knoxville, maybe we all run down to huntsville for one of theirs, etc... that is what will keep this growing and going way after we all are gone.

I'm fine with trying some new areas within reason. Personally I probably can't afford to drive to Huntsville or Cookeville, but by all means set it up and see who comes.

no problem, just ideas. I cant afford it every month either, but once a year I can make it happen.
its just this will not keep growing unless we look for new ideas and be willing to try new things.

Another idea is to say the first _______ (monday-sunday) of every month we will meet at __________
this will make it known to everyone and help spread the word.

Who all like this idea?

I agree, we really need a kind of set in stone meeting to keep things growing.
