I'm not affiliated with the indyrx8 group in any way but I went last year in my Protege and it was a really great time. Figured I'd post here because it's not exclusively a rotary event.

I actually just registered myself. But wow, all the way from AL? I had an old friend from VA (where I'm originally from) come out last year and I thought that was nuts...

This was a surprise event last year. I think the Indy folks didn't necessarily think it would be as big as it was, and it was a great time. Can't wait to get down there again this year...and THIS time, with the proper vehicle.

OK, maybe I'm going blind, but I don't see the date for the event anywhere!?!?

it's may 1st 2010, their site is difficult to read. Font is not that clear and red font :(

Actually the website has MARCH 1, 2010.

If you click on "Who's coming to Mazdafest" is says May 1, 2010 at the top right. The March 1, 2010 is the preregister deadline.

They should pay me to update their site :)

Just registered for this event. Many years ago, in my FC days, there was an Indy RX-7 club that held a cool get together at a shop in Indy - wonder if any of those guys are in the Indy RX-8 club? Looking forward to it, regadless.

less then 2 weeks.. my exhaust, struts, strut braces and a couple other parts should be here this weekend try to get them on really quik :driving:. good thing i live in indianpolis.

Yeah I've got a couple of things on the way - nothing major. Just some new brake rotors and pads and a few other odds 'n ends that need to go onto the car. It's supposed to rain here all this weekend though :(

Yea its supposed to rain here to but im not to worried about it my struts were so bad ive went through 2 rear tires in 2 weeks so im busting ass the get everything done to this car this weekend and next week (also prolly doin emmision delete) , also im working on my buddies 89 rx7 so that he also can cruise with me to mazdafest.

And ZGN what u pullin the motor for??

lets do it! im registered and redy to roll but seriously if anyone wants to caravan up 65n please tell me cuz its a DAMN boring drive otherwise hahaha and my rx8 isnt the most comfortable road trip car haha see you guys there look for the nordic green 8 with tein springs!! and other goodies

Good to see there will be some RCC members there. I wasn't able to attend DGRR so it'll be a good chance to meet some people.

I know a decent number of people from another forum I frequent are going (Mazdas247).

Oh yeah, aside from the Indy RX8 club being there be prepared for like 5 Proteges, a handful of 6/MS6'sand a whole mess of 3/MS3's being present. Depending on who you are the latter is either a good thing or a bad thing.

EDIT: Not that it matters but I'll be rolling out of Cinci around 6-6:30 Saturday morning. Should put me there 8-8:30.

debating on going just got 7 running half way decent but havent had a chance to clean her up and dirty car with peelin clear and much needed bodywork isnt the best looking lol
