You have to come pretty far east to get us. I talked to some 8 guys coming from PA and NY; and they are going along the west side of VA - so it would be like an extra 3-4 hours for us to go up to 81 and meet you guys.

I am not sure if that would work out man.

Here is the route the RX8 guys from PA are going so we can all meet up and drive through the forest.

Oddly enough that's damn close to the route we'd be taking. We've got time, but if that's the route you're going, I wouldn't mind it. 81 is just plain boring. 26 is kinda cool, as is 40. But if you take 81 to Knoxville, you get to run the Dragon one more time :D

Just let me know man, we can def make this happen. We will end up rolling 30 cars deep by the time we get to DGRR, LOL!!!

I live in Williamsburg, so depending on when I get home from work, will be deciding to meet with you guys.
Car is getting rebuilt in Savannah, so maybe leaving from there.

I can probably get a few of my NC caravan to catch up with you guys. We'd be hitting I-40W from Raleigh.

That's awesome. Last year you guys were gonna stay up around Danbury and then we'd meet somewhere along 287 or 78. I gotta get some dates down pat and then we'll get everything planned out. :icon_tup:

Will do! I think it'll be first deciding which route we're going to take (it's ALMOST 6 1, 1/2 dozen the other in terms of time/distance) the northern route - drive the dragon on the way there, or the southern route - just get there and then figuring out where the nearest meeting point will be. Either way it'll be a blast.

Southern Route is key for the Hampton Roads people, so I'd vote do that. It is a new twisty ride, since you can do the Dragon when you get there! LOL

Grrrr!!!! What is up with Nata Village?

They "accidentally" unreserved our lodge room, we got a 3bedroom cabin (more money), and they still haven't charged our deposit!?!??! I have called like 6 times in the last two weeks.... I don't know what is up. But If they book our cabin to someone else I am going to be beyond pissed.

Anyone else have these kind of problems?

it's the off season and they might be up in the hills making 'shine.

I don't know of anyone planning to leave Friday...but we do need JL1RX7 to pick our meeting spot in the morning thursday...

I see that! How early we talking here. Depending on were people are coming from meeting up at 664 and va 58 might be the best plan. No sense for you guys to drive an hour one way to take 8 or nine hours the other.

Yeah I am thinking meet for Breakfast at 8-9am (at a location that is to be the start of our drive). Then head out from there.

Figure rolling at 10:30 - get there around 6PM or so. Unless we wanna be early risers. I normally get up at 5am, so I don't mind....HAHA

Ok I will look to see what's around 664, US 58. Suffock/bowers hill area. Got to be a denny's awful waffle around there. That way you guys on the otherside of the river don't have to drive too far. Best breakfast in the beach is near oceana base called rick's. But makes no sense for you guys to drive out there to have to go back the otherway. Also were are you guys staying in TN? That way I can figure out the best way for everyone. I know I will be staying with Mom in Oak Ridge which is 30 to 45 minutes away from the dragon. For me its a straight shot down I 40 to home. If you guys are staying at Natahalla/Fontana then can shoot down from Ashville area. Decent ride, little slower since its back roads and secondary roads.

We are going to be staying at Natahalla area.

I can do the GPS thing once we get close, but if I do it from here, it won't take me down the cool back roads - so that is where our local guide comes in! HAHA

What time do you guys plan on rolling into NVNC? And what route are you taking? We're going to try to pick up Pete89 somewhere along 81, but it sounds like you guys are nowhere near that rt

I am thinking we should hit NVNC at 5-8 PM, depending on what time we roll out.

If we do breakfast at 8 am, roll at 9 am, then we would be there at 6PM give or take.

Ok went looking on the map there is a cracker barrel on 664 at portsmouth blvd. We meet there at 8 then head on down the road. Think that might be the plan.

Works for me, I love cracker barrel.

Is the route still the same on Google Maps? I'm going to try and join up with you guys on I-40 in NC. I'm leaving from Raleigh and heading west. PM me and we can trade contact information and organize a place to meet. I might have a few other people with me as well.
