If only BDC were allowed to join, we could have the craziest along with the gayest, all in one site :smilielol5:

Tegheim 02-23-2011 06:03 AM

Thank you! Who/what is BDC? :-)

TitaniumTT 02-23-2011 09:18 AM

Welcome! Mazdabater was wise in his ways to drag you over here. Build looks badass and I'm very curious about the 4-rotor. Fabrication is always a good thing, the more the better!

I generally only take the pics when it's dipping in stomach acid so there wouldn't be that much shaft left showing ;)

More fab pics!!!

Tegheim 02-28-2011 01:02 AM

You will get some more cowbell soon! Have been away all weekend, and now back at work :)

vex 02-28-2011 07:59 AM

What program are you using for modeling? It almost looks like Inventor if I had to guess.

Holy shit how long did it take to make all the components for the e-shaft? And how many times did you measure?

Force13b 03-01-2011 03:05 PM

I wish i could come hang out at your shop for a year or so to learn.

RotorDad 03-01-2011 03:07 PM

Beautiful work thus far! Definitely interested in this project.

Hmm, I really don't know. Too long :) I had to learn how a CNC-Lathe worked first, so the E-shaft was my training-tutorial :) But there is many small things that took long time in total.

Haha, I don't have a shop, its my work-place. The boss lets me use the machines after work and weekends. Free Education he says :)

What kind of lobe orientation did yo use? 90's or 180's?
It kinda looks like 180's from the pictures.

Nice work man!

I'm fine with being a live in janitor

reddozen 03-01-2011 08:14 PM

It kinda looks like 90's now that I'm looking at it again.

Tegheim 03-02-2011 12:58 AM

Haha, you can be my janitior, I won't fight you :)

Yes, It's 90's.
The ignition follows 1,3,2,4.

Mazdabater 03-02-2011 04:28 AM

Where did you have to send the shaft too? Whats getting done to it now, plating?

Tegheim 03-02-2011 05:10 AM

I'm sending it to a engine-shop, that also machine some details to the Koeingssegg by the way.
And he will get it straight again. I have a warp on 0.2mm i the middle after all machining and heat treatment. And we want it below 0.04mm.
After he will send it back, and I will continue the prod.
