Photos from the Dragon are up!! 2008 Edition!!!

www.us129photos.com have the pictures up from the weekend. The pictures look great and have fun looking for yours there is 78 pages from Saturday!! . I would suggest if you ran late in the after noon to start near the middle I left shortly after lunch with some of the RX-8 group and I was on page 54

IH8DSM 04-14-2008 10:10 AM

woot death trap and the repu on pg 69 we left around noon also

WE3RX7 04-14-2008 10:11 AM

I will probably get a few, but $5.50/ea CD is a bit much. I can understand buying a CD and then paying per photo like $3, just to save on disk space, but oh well. I'll see what Killboy.com has...

Heh, just messing with ya. I'm OK with putting a couple tires on the center line, as long as you have the ability to correct if needed and it's in a situation where you'll have plenty of time to do so, keeping in mind that a bike could be flying around at 70mph.

bop_rocco 04-14-2008 03:29 PM

i know. this is my first time going and i live nearby so plan on going back a few times this year. prob go in the middle of the week when it isnt so busy to learn the road. but i know on the bike forums i hear complaints about the group and about the wreck with the bikes.

What's the bike forum? Link?

Sure, some of our people weren't the best, but it's not like the bikers stayed on their lines either...

This last weekend had its ups and downs including some very poor driving by a group of enthusiasts in their cars. I don’t see the need to mention who they were, but if you(you the poor drivers) are reading this, you know exactly who I am talking about. Late Saturday there was a wreck on 28 where a car had crossed over the double yellow and impacted with 3 bikes. Everyone made it out ok, but this stuff just doesn’t need to happen. I don’t typically call out cage drivers as much as I do bikers, but on Saturday, I spoke to 5 different cars, after being told about their poor sharing skills. We all need to be able to enjoy this area and get along, so please remember that when you are here.
Because the bikes never cross the lines... Way to call out a whole group because of 1 putz.

From what I hear anyways, the FC and the bikes weren't driving for shit.

Yesterday was an interesting day on the Dragon. There were a bunch of cars up here that didnt need to be here, and there were some riders in the same boat. Folks, I feel the need to remind you that this is public road that you have to share with everyone else AND this isnt a racetrack. There were a couple of vehicles that were trying to be drift racers, and that is just unacceptable. So much so that I called the drivers out in the parking lot. Please remember that there are others out there, and your actions can change their day, just like it will change yours. Nuff said ??
This isn't a racetrack? DUH. Tell that to the bikes doing 60+ around turns.

I will agree with the drifting thing. That's just unacceptable on any public road, much less the Dragon.

I'm not saying that the 7 guys didn't have retards and fuck ups. But this guy needs to get a grip on things. It's not like the cars, and us, were the only ones being dangerous...

I was told the FC did not cross the line but the bike did. So what really happened?

I heard neither actually crossed the line but both were on/in the line, the fc however was issued the citation if I am not mistaken.

djmtsu 04-14-2008 04:18 PM

Who knows. Everybody was so segregated and in their 'little cliques' that there was not much communication or information sharing.

I heard the bike crossed the line, the bikers say the FC crossed the line, the police favored the biker. I did not hear of 3 bikes being involved in the collision, however, until I read the blog.

I heard it was all 3, but who knows.

Hopefully the FC driver will get on here and be honest. He/she might as well be since they've already been cited so there's no point to lying.

It was a guy, and I am pretty sure he was with the Indy crew. I am not sure if he is a member here.

Someone needs to start a thread were you find ONE pic someone took of your car and post it up along with your SN.

Oh wait, we would only know who the FD's and RX-8's owners were then!!!!

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

djmtsu 04-14-2008 04:35 PM

You, my friend, are different! We are Rotary enthusiasts!!

Oh and YES to the pics. I think I will upload mine tonight. Still tired, and hung over from exhaust fumes.

My5ABaby 04-14-2008 04:37 PM

Damn, it'll be hard to find one of my 6 that a member took. Although I did find a few on US129Photos.

don't think that one was your fault DJ, we were behind jason on that run, you can see a little bit of your car behind me in that picture. I think she got semi sick on the run and then your fumes helped do her in on the way back to the lodge lol.

djmtsu 04-14-2008 05:19 PM

Whew, good to hear that time it wasn't me!

I thought I blew my chance at free Quizno's.

yeah there wasn't a good picture coming back that got all three. One has jason up front can barly see a section of my car. Yours was either behind me or not into the curve yet to get caught.

I like some of the pictures chad got tagged in. All open road no cars in front or behind him.

How are you guys getting the pics with "Proof" still on them ?? ... did you have to order first ?? ... doing that now ...

one320fc 04-15-2008 10:26 AM

I dont know how the other people are doing it but I went into the properties of the pages and found the link for the image

fikren 04-15-2008 10:36 AM

easiest way is to hold down the alt key, right click the photo. With the alt key still down, click the ok on the pop up box. Let go of the alt key and then right click the photo again and it will give you the normal menu with the save picture option.

Not working for me ... the same pop up window keeps coming up with that process :(
