Bryan, I sent you an email. .

Do not call the alternate phone number for Nantahala Village Resort listed on the DGRR page, it's somebody's personal cell. .

Pete_89T2 11-01-2017 06:04 AM

Just registered

FC Zach 11-01-2017 09:04 AM

I reserved a lodge room, the desk didn't even ask for the lodging code. Anyways, all went smoothly. Look forward to this year since I finally get to drive the seven :)

Pete_89T2 11-01-2017 10:34 AM

Same here, but first thing she asked is if I'm with the DGRR group. Was on hold for about 10 minutes, they were getting flooded with calls already

Anyway, I got a lodge room. :icon_tup:

Cabin 1016 booked.

Which only Zach knows about.

Cabin 1016 can neither be described nor quantified, it is merely an illusion of itself and although there is not a defined location, rest assured it does exist. . . Once entrance is achieved, there is no returning to the world or life you once knew. :)

Is this kind of like going to the train station in Harry Potter but not as PG?

t_g_farrell 03-14-2018 09:08 AM

I have an idea for the DGRR website.

What if we could optionally supply a picture of our car when registering. Then on the map, when you click on the google map for someone, it pops up the optional picture if it was provided.

I know this is an all volunteer effort so I understand the limits reddozen probably has on his time but just a nice idea.

djmtsu 03-14-2018 10:14 AM

He has ALL THE TIME IN THE WORLD.

LOLOLOL. It would make it a little easier to put a name to a face.

Right, cause I know a lot of folks by their cars rather than names.

It would also be cool if we all wore name tags too. That way us old critters can take photos and look at the tags to figure out names.

Same year, maybe we should form an old farts gang to beat up on the kiddies.

FC Zach 03-14-2018 11:12 PM

Can I be in the gang? I'm like an old soul at times :cheers2: I even have a bad hip LOL

t_g_farrell 03-15-2018 07:51 AM

You're a sly one Zach, you're just after my beer!

I've owned my car longer than you have been on this earth I bet, 35 years.

If we all get our canes out we can smack em up good.

Any chance that midget will make it one year?

If shit would quit going wrong I plan on it. My plans haven't been working out so well though.

Pete_89T2 04-05-2018 10:36 AM

Looks like DGRR will have a solid turn out this year - we're 20 days out, and there are already 172 folks registered, driving 124 rotaries. Though I expect that latter # to drop a bit, as 40 of those 124 rotaries are FDs

djmtsu 04-05-2018 10:45 AM

Savage Pete.....but you're not wrong....

Still the only Cosmo coming. Wish I had $100K to put in it. I'd win an award for being pretty instead of being rare with a good back story......

Meh, rare with a good backstory beats pretty/shiny any time.

t_g_farrell 04-05-2018 03:46 PM

I expected the RX8 to be the highest number and definitely not the FDs. Was thinking the FCs would dominate.

Pretty doesn't beat a good back story Pete. Make sure to bring your ZoomZoom magazines with you. If I remember right that was last year but then you didn't make it because of Brian fussing your car up (turns and runs away). LOL

djmtsu 04-05-2018 04:02 PM

Cosmo got no love last year. NO LOVE!!!!!!

This year I'm coming in vintage '76 clothes to match the car. LOOK AT ME!!! LOVE ME!!!

FC Zach 04-05-2018 04:05 PM

Oh gawd no!

djmtsu 04-05-2018 04:16 PM

That's the 60's baby! Yeaaaah

FC Zach 04-05-2018 04:21 PM

Oops, wrong era. .

I'm thinking you're a "G & J" kinda guy LOL

djmtsu 04-05-2018 04:24 PM

All that. Smooth like butter.

Pete should have some clothes I can borrow. We're about the same height.

FC Zach 04-05-2018 04:26 PM

:lol::lol:

Shots fired

djmtsu 04-05-2018 04:29 PM

Aaaand as usual, Mid TN derails the thread into an inescapable abyss.

FC Zach 04-05-2018 04:42 PM

Yew started it!

 I did live thru that era as a youngster, alas I don't have any of the pictured clothes to loan you.... polyester is highly combustible, those threads have all gone up in flames by now.

infernosg 04-08-2018 02:42 PM

Officially committed. Driving the FC unless I manage to destroy its transmission in the next two weeks. In that case it'll be the SA. What's that about having two rotaries...

FC Zach 04-09-2018 06:51 AM

Saweet!

djmtsu 04-09-2018 01:07 PM

Hoping for the great pumpkin, but will settle for lemonade.
