Whizbang 07-11-2008 01:39 PM

sweet! there is a guy down the street from my work that deal in RE5 parts. I've seen over a dozen at this shop.

djmtsu 07-11-2008 04:21 PM

They are not all the same color. FCZach's is black, and I have seen one on eBay that was silver.

Chad, are you on crack?

Phoenix7 07-11-2008 04:34 PM

If I was I would be the size of Paul Jr.

And yes, they came in silver, blue, red, orange, and black.
I actually have found a blue one that I want to buy since I was gonna paint this one blue. So I might have two RE5's soon.

Well I think I have all the details on a blue RE5 worked out and will be picking it up soon.
So...... I will be selling this 1975 Red RE5 but I will be keeping the side bags.
$2500

Sweet! Nice luggage, still never seen that in person.

Now you need to join us over at http://re5rotary.proboards85.com/index.cgi

djmtsu 07-17-2008 07:35 PM

Trade you the FC for the FB and the RE-5?

Come on now!

fire85gslse 07-18-2008 12:14 PM

To answer some questions:

It does run and shifts fine, but it will need some work hence the price of $2500.
I have not had anytime to go over the bike. I have found some small problems and want to soak it in seafoam then a few oil changes.
If it ran perfect the price would be much higher.
This RE5 is not like most as it has the cover over the gauges and matching tail light, hard to find.
Some small repairs and elbow grease would make this a sweet bike.

Also, If I cant get the blue one I will keep this one.
Chad

Yep, I'm trying.
Really though I am getting ready to step up in a new position and well told the Chief I wanted a few classes before that happens so he is approving them. Gotta get em while I can.

djmtsu 07-19-2008 07:57 AM

What are you trying to get into? Fire Science/Forensics?

My step dad teaches those classes around the country sometimes. He was in Boston last month and Oklahoma a few months back, and has a regular semester Fire Science/Hazmat class he teaches at the local community college. When he retires, he wants to move down here somewhere and do freelance Arson Investigation.
