Car looks and sounds amazing! Congrats on the win!

Edit: I'm going to add this to the FD track video thread as well.

Very Nice!

FerociousP 08-11-2008 10:11 AM

Nice! pretty hairy at 3:20 in... sounds awesome

Jarred 08-11-2008 10:34 AM

Perhaps the lack of rear grip was caused by having no rear downforce on the car.

afgmoto1978 08-11-2008 02:53 PM

A rear wing would have helped, but it was mostly due to my corner entry speed and already being at the limit of tire adhesion when I applied the throttle. That and my line was slightly off, apexed to early. Most of the corners at PIR are late apex corners.

Thanks for the compliments, the car sounds awesome in person. :driving:

that was nice and it sounds incredible.

Lotte 08-12-2008 05:33 PM

aspec has the 550r now.

Lotte 08-14-2008 04:57 PM

did you break anything from that?

afgmoto1978 08-14-2008 06:22 PM

Nope, car stills runs and drives like a champ. I over built this car so I can drive the wheels off this things and not worry about reliability.

Peace

Brent 08-15-2008 01:14 AM

afgmoto1978 08-15-2008 11:21 AM

For some reason I am not getting sound at work.

And Paul is right, a little hairy around 3:20 for sure!!

the car actually shakes the camera like that on full throttle.. dunno why- maybe exhaust reverberation? either way its hella fast. was hella fast :( (sorry adam)

afgmoto1978 10-16-2008 07:28 PM

Hard drive based camcorder, it can't cope with high frequency vibrations.

It's okay, it will be hella fast again in a few weeks/months. Actually I added 50 hp and 68 ft-lbs above that 400hp track tune, first and second gear are useless at WOT though. Need more tire.....

88turboii 10-16-2008 08:46 PM

wow there were several spots i would have shit my pants, getting loose so close to teh concrete wall.. nice video!
