I like it, it's different from the common colors such as red and black. Plus I do like the gold/red combination. What did you use to paint the caliper? Looks pretty close to the shade of Mazdaspeed gold I been looking for my wheels.

Whizbang 02-19-2009 07:10 PM

^^i concur

Caim 02-19-2009 07:19 PM

You will laugh but i did some research and this holds up well.....

Caim 02-19-2009 07:27 PM

Yes sir hahaha. A few nice coats of that and you are good to go... and it is cheap.

rotorhead87 02-19-2009 07:29 PM

what GTFO model paint!?!? Now its officially different. You actually paint it on with that little brush...someone must have had a day off :)....Thanks for posting up the paint color code. Now I gotta look for 1/2 gallon of that stuff lol.

Caim 02-19-2009 07:33 PM

HAHAHA anytime man... Just thought that i would spread the love

LegendaryRotary 02-19-2009 08:14 PM

Those wheels look great. Nice car.

I prefer black look for the brake calipers. Are you going to upgrade the rotors and pads eventually?

Phoenix7 02-19-2009 08:20 PM

looks cool! Let us know how the paint holds up!

Yeah i have the hawk pads but i plan on getting some new rotors first before i do them. Just want to do both at the same time. Money is tight because i am only 23 and in college. But i do what i can with the little money that i have.

WE3RX7 02-20-2009 01:15 PM

HA - I wouldnt care, only my dog isn't tall enough, lol.

Nice rubicon in the back there too. Seems that RX guys always have a Jeep around somewhere...

Caim 02-20-2009 02:24 PM

Yeah it is my roomates hahaha. But it is a fun ride that is for sure. Almost flipped it a few times.

But finally the part that i have been waiting for... now my car will be back on the road again today...

http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h8...2/SANY0266.jpg

A little story to it is i got the turbo and it was blown had to send it off, and finally got it back 2 months later.
http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h8...2/newturbo.jpg
That was before motor was in .... ha

My turbo progression from stock to now.

http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h8.../newturbo2.jpg

WE3RX7 02-20-2009 04:32 PM

The progression on turbos doesnt look even, lol. Small, Smallish, HUGE.

Should be fun. Just curious, why the big step up - what power output are you looking to get?

Caim 02-20-2009 04:37 PM

Well the smallest was stock and i made about 350 on stock boost with a street port. I tuned that.

Then the next turbo i got for a deal and never went for its max power and got the third one for a steeeeel. So now i am assuming that i will be right around 400 to 450 pump on stock map. And then when i upgrade i will be around the 500ish rage for fun days.

Caim 02-20-2009 08:30 PM

Man it still needs a good clean, but this is a little of what i have.

Car looks good man! I like the dog pictures. Is your wideband 02 bung at the bottom of your downpipe? Only reason I ask is I see your LC-1 is mounted in the engine bay. If you run the sensor back the car and up through the tranny tunnel where the shifter comes through(of course make sure you wrap the wire so it isn't pinched as it comes through) to the interior, you will expose the actual LC-1 sensor to much less heat and prob. prolong it's life. I wrapped mine in thermal wrap just as overkill and secured it as far away from the tranny as possible. The actual sensor is now mounted underneath the tranny tunnel cover in the interior... basically behind where the ash tray is.

Whizbang 02-20-2009 10:10 PM

dang, your charge pipes are like a new Cedar Point ride.

WhiteRice_7 02-21-2009 12:58 AM

looks good!!hope it can stand the heat.....

Yeah i am by no means leaving it where it was. I was just making sure that it worked because i got it for free and it was used. But i have heard of that and think that is what i am gong to do.

As for the charge pipes, they will not be like that for long. All i had was the stock pipes and a peice off another turbo kit. So that is what i used until the parts that i am making are finished.

And i am sure that it can handle the heat... thanks for the comments.

Caim 05-11-2009 11:33 AM

I know it has been a long time since i have added more. But i will be posting up some more pics of what i have done soon. I have not been on here in a while, but since then i have hidden all of the fuse boxes and relays and done a lot of little things to the car. Posting all that up soon.
