T-shirt idea, anybody interested?
 

I've been working on this t-shirt idea and it's basically done, gonna try to get them printed just in time to take with me to the meet. I have a thread for it over on "that other site" for 8 owners. If you're interested please post up how many and what size you would buy if I get them done in time, thanks!

I remember this shirt from the "other forum." I see you've cleaned it up. I'd still take one, but the 8 needs to be WB. ;)

I'm thinking $15 at the event, as long as this is OK with Phil... with the amount of ink colors and 2 location print, the setup and printing charge for me is going to be over $100 easy.
LOL, I tried to make the color sort of ambiguous. I didn't want it to look like any specific color just for that reason. :)

I know, I wish I had planned this out better.... I don't know anyone locally with an FD to take reference pics for an illustration. I don't want anyone to get mad at me for making a shirt using their photo as reference, I'd rather use my own and not risk getting in trouble or offending someone. I'm thinking about printing some without the back print for a plain rotorhead shirt design... as long as this is all OK with Herblenny, I want to follow the rules and do it right. I'm not looking to offend anyone or break any rules, this just kind of took off on me since last night :(

Im sure you can find some folks on here that would be more that willing to let you use their car for the image. Or for that matter, let me know what sort of shot you are looking for and you could use my car if you wanted.

I'm sure I'll take a crapload of pictures at the meet, lol. I'll get all sorts of angles and different styles and combinations so I can mix and match the best looking FD for a t-shirt... at least in my eyes, ;P. I don't have enough time left, or enough money to do another shirt design before next week. But, if the RX8 shirts turn out nice and I meet enough cool people that would be willing to order more shirts in the future, I'll probably make a FD design after the meet. Maybe eventually set up a web site to sell them from or something... who knows, I'm just getting my feet wet so far.

For the people that are interested, can you help me get a rough idea how many shirts I should print and what sizes you want? Can you add your name to the list like this:

1. 3DZukini - 1 XL Front and Back print
2. 3DZukini - 1 XL Front Print Only
etc....

Just an idea, but if you're going to do an FD shirt you'd probably get alot more people with a stock FD on it rather than a modded one. Reason being not everyone likes other people's style, but with a stock FD it's more universal. I mean, I'd rather see MY car on my shirt than someone else's car, hahaha.

Maybe we can send you pics of our cars and you can put them on each of our shirts, HAHA. I'm joking of course, cost would be astronomical for that I'm sure.

Seriously though, I'd probably buy one with a stock FD, perhaps a Spirit R or something, rather than a modded one. And you can find those pics on the internet.

If you did one of those, I'd buy at least one XXL or XXXL, depending on what sizes you'll have, and I'm sure alot of our FD guys in the Springs would be down for it too. I really do like the design you have there with the RX-8 on it too.

I'll try to do something that gets the most interest. I'll probably post up ideas and get opinions before I do the FD shirt, for now I'll just concentrate on finishing the RX-8 one and I'll bring some that just have the front printed on them. After the meet I'll start working on the FD design if I feel there's enough people to sell to... which I'm sure there is, just gotta get their attention :)

Just a reminder to bring some cash :) I got the shirts printed, With Herblenny's permission of course :) I printed some with just the front, some with both sides and some with the back printed on the front. Looking forward to the trip and meeting some cool Rotorheads out there!! :D

Are you going to sell these on a website or something too? Or at least do you have a Paypal address? I'd like to get some, but I definitely won't be making it to DGRR this year, maybe not ever again :(

Well don't worry about that, I'll just buy some in bulk at a later time, when you have the FD ones done. And if you have some with just the rotor I'll take some of those too. I'm sure I can get some of my other friends out here to get some, and we have everything from FBs to RX-8s, so I'll show them the shirt and maybe we can get a big order for you. If that's what you want anyway HAHA. You may have a shirt business sneak up on you haha.

I hoping that these sell well, I think it would be fun to do car shirts as a business. Not gonna get rich, but fun anyway :)

Thanks, I did my best, if I sell them all I'll make a new one :) I may do a version of this design with a FD on the back, maybe spirit R. I wasn't thinking straight at the meet though, I didn't really spend any time taking good reference pictures at a similar angle.

Hey man, that's completely understandable. I was at DGRR06 and it was amazing, I wouldn't expect anyone to think about other things while being there haha. Just looking at the pics from this year frustrates me that I missed yet another year.

I have a friend that wants the RX-8 verision, and I've heard from 1 other guy so far about it but I'm not sure how serious he is. How much are you selling them for? $15 still?

Yeah, $15 plus $5 for shipping in U.S. I don't know the costs of shipping elsewhere unless someone orders it from far away :) So basically, $20 shipped for one tee. I have some that have just the rotor art on front, some that have just the rx8 art on front, and some that have the rotor on front and rx8 on back. I still need to do a little count and see how many I have in each size but I'm pretty sure I have at least one of all 3 designs in Small through X-tra Large. I had some XXL, but they might be all gone.

I wore this shirt to work this morning.. Great looking shirt!! I say its one of my favorite now!

Thanks Phil, and thanks for letting me sell them down there, even though I spent more time gawking at other cars then I did even trying to sell t-shirts :) It was kind of a last minute idea to even get them printed, but they turned out pretty nice... next up will be a FD shirt, after I get these sold :)
