My 87 T2 Project
Just acquired this gem a few weeks ago. She runs strong, & the boost comes on really nice.

Nice :icon_tup:. I don't know what it is, but I'm a sucker for stock body S4 TIIs with the sawblade wheels. It just looks so perfect.
|
Wow that is a gem!
(Please don't tell me that you stole it for a song). My one friend bought a 10th AE for $1,000.00, but the guy who owned it didn't know what he had. Nice car! |

Update. I took her to the Dyno on 02-20 to get a base # before the real modding started. Only thing on the car is a K&N FIPK. Was very happy with the #s. 3" turboback soon to come.

Nice . What's the advantage of the RX-8 oil filter?
|
Smaller & has a higher spring pressure inside it.

BOV installed. Yes it is venting to the atmos. Driveability is still perfect.

Nice s4 tII. Amazingly I live very close but have never seen this car. Where abouts in dallas are you located? I am in pretty much downtown Austell. We should meet up, I need some more people with 7's to go to the mountains with.

Me and buddy try to go to the gap about once a month pending on money. I think that we are going around Halloween for the east coast Mazda meet ( i think that's right ). You should come.
I am a little past the end of 278 after I turns in to Thornton road. I actually work on Thornton across the street from Atlanta Harley-Davidson. |
I'll prob be at the Varsity meet this Thursday. Few of us meeting up at the Napa on Powder Springs Rd & driving up.
|
I will be there but it might be later in the day because I have to work till 6. I would definitely like to meet you. I usually park in the lot across the street. You can't miss my car, they only 10th ae with red ms01's.

Dyno'd yesterday. Car made 248whp & 224tq @ 12lbs on a SAE 5 corrected dynojet. Stock motor, turbo & ECU. http://youtu.be/sxd4V8fAdS8

Nice numbers!
Your baseline numbers were EXACTLY what my 87' tII put down with stock intake and Greddy PE catback a few years ago at Rotorfest. IIRC ambient temps were around 100* I imagine it was putting down similar numbers to what you're doing now when it blew last month. |
Yeah. I suffered Apex seal failure a few months ago. She is currently at home on jackstands with the engine on the floor. Looks as if on of the seals cracked. Will be putting in a streetported motor, AEM UEGO, Haltech E6X, Injectors have been rebuilt & flowtested. I just can't wait to get her back out, but want to make sure she is done proper 1st.

Keep it up!
I just got my car running today, surprisingly it actually idled at 800 rpm w/ 0 miles on it. I'm going to attribute that the Goopy apex seals and resurfaced rotor housings. I really want to do a compression test baseline before i hit the road for the 250 mile trip back home. Btw do K1's come in 16" ? |
Pretty sure they do.
|
I had to sell off my 87 T2... thanks for making me regret that decision yet again :(
