Cool setup. What are the specs on the turbos?

Other than ease of fabrication, what are your thoughts behind running a turbo off of each rotor rather than doing an X-pipe type of merge and then going with equal length runners to each turbo? How is the spool with this type of set up?

Have you had it dyno'd yet?

prrex4ever 12-15-2009 07:14 PM

Different but interesting. What are the advantages over a stock set-up other than the turbo capabilities?

classicauto 12-16-2009 04:43 PM

Loves it.

I really want to see some dyno numbers and torque curves. I thought about something like this for the FD but found that the torque seems to come on about as fast as a properly sized single. That was the case with Howard Colemans setup and the twin GT28 setup that Jason did @ RX7 store.

what are the specs on these turbo's if you don't mind me asking?

amunoz944 12-18-2009 02:13 AM

50 trim Garrett To4E(s) mated to a .63 T3 with a stageV turbine wheel. Oil cooled only with a 360 thrust bearing upgrade. Turbine housings have been modified for 3" vband.
Twin 3" 304SS vband downpipes merging to a 4" midpipe
Hard lined oil feed and return lines
Twin Tial 38mm wastegates venting to atmosphere with -AN SS braided Teflon lines
100cc pre compressor 50/50 water alcohol injection, and 600cc post front mount
Tial 50mm BOV
Turblown lower intake manifold Heatshield

Not to be a thorn in anyones side but is elliot planning on coating everything?? and I would make sure there is some kind of bracing thin pipe like that wil a turbos wieght is going to lead to cracks in the near future...cool set up, almost went t04s twins on my car but opted for a custom 4088...keep us posted

The owner is planning on having heat shields made for everything down the road. If it were up to me everything would have been done, but I'm not the one paying for it :)

The manifold is braced, its just not in the pictures. All of the tubing is .120" wall.

Is this Zach?

We are having a dyno day soon hopefully and we'll be wrapping this car up.. So far it made decent numbers, but we had to make a few changes..

Its just something I pieced together. I used aquamist jets/check valves and tubing...
