Electric Fan
What kind of electric fan works good on a FC n/a
All different kinds. Shook Racing makes a sweet set up with an aluminum shroud. Spal makes great fans. Stay away from the auto parts cheapies.
Alot of FC guys will use a Ford Taurus or Escort e-fan. They fit the radiator great, and draw a small amount of amps. |
sweet thanks alot bro didn't know what to do lol
i run the single-speed taurus fan, havent had any problems with it
You can use a dual from a audi with alittle trim.. The taurus work's great also like mentioned.
The best fan for an N/A RX7 is the one that the factory fitted on there. I see toooooooo many efans installed incorrectly and they do more harm than good.
True but an efan helps clean up the engine bay, and used properly works as good if not better then stock.. Just stray away from cheepies either use a good fitting stock one off another car of spend the money for a good low amp efan
Try to find a good (high flow rate, low amp draw) 15-16" puller, pick up a SPAL (or other) programmable thermoswitch and custom make a fan shroud out of aluminum, fiberglass, etc. to fit to fit over your radiator. That should be the makings of a good e-fan setup...
Im running the later model mercury cougar fans setup in my car and works great. its a double fan setup and the shroud fitted prefectly on my radiator. It looks very clean.
Flex a lite black magic fan, used for over decade back home (90F avg temps), and never had a problem.
