S5 omp

Im looking to remove it on a friends car. But as most of you already know, if the S5 electronic pump is removed, it will send the ecu into limp mode. And might not even idle in some cases. Anyone remove there OMP without an ecu upgrade?

if you did, how did you go about it? ideas, comments?

why do you want to remove it exactly?

FerociousP 03-11-2010 08:29 PM

you take it off but leave it plugged in and secure it aside, then block off, run pre-mix, etc. there is no way to remove it completely without ecu modification

Like Ferocious said, either tie it back still plugged into the harness, or get an Rtek with OMP delete.

You can remove it without the OMP in place, you'll just have to purchase one of these:

Hope this helps. like DJ and Paul said, there is no other way than this.
